The Brussel sprouts were amazing. However, the rigatoni was poor. It had no real flavor, one piece of sausage and the dish was overwhelmed by the undercooked shrimp. I expect better from Emeril's kitchen. Only saving grace was the prices are very reasonable. Too many better choices in NOLA to eat there again.

Great food and ambience. The service was excellent. We thought they could’ve used more explanation of the menu, either on the menu or the could’ve written it on the chalkboards they have around the restaurant. Some of the fancy sauces and stuff aren’t regular things everyday people run into but everything we ordered was delicious.

Delicious food, great service, accommodating staff and cool ambiance. What a great meal we had. We dined at Sunday noon with friends and had a relaxing and enjoyable lunch. Our approach was to try and split as many dishes as possible. Everything we tried was fabulous. Our waiter gave us excellent recommendations. We would definitely recommend Meril.

Meril was a great night out. The small plate concept is fun for sharing and they had many creative dishes. We did have 1 misstep, the pork dish was so dry that it was inedible. Everything else was stellar. We would go back.

The best thing about Meril was the Mexican style corn off the cob. I could have had two orders of this. The Saffron Pappardelle was delicious, the bits of braised lamb leg were tasty. The noodles were perfect. Make sure to try something off the chef's suggestion list. We had the strawberry/rhubarb shortcake with a citrus coulis (perhaps passion fruit?!!), it came with a dollop of raspberry gelato. Nice dessert and not on the regular menu. I liked the "chalk" art of the crab on the wall. The crab was imposing, the fish ok and the pig was cute. Please note that this is a "warehouse" atmosphere and the noise bounces off the walls and it is loud. If it is your birthday, you get candy floss on a stick with a sparkler. I liked the sparkler. The service was under stated and efficient.

Very noisy, waitress even had difficulty hearing our orders. This seems to be a place to celebrate birthdays, cotton candy and huge sparklers are served to honoree. A bit of carnival atmosphere. I'm actually surprised a fire department would allow all those huge sparklers. Food was ok on the most part, but my flank steak was very, very salty. Beware if you have high blood pressure. Service was mediocre, as if they were doing us a favor serving us. We were a table of 8 and had to yell our orders over the table to waitress, who seemed unwilling to move around table to take orders closer to each guest.

We reserved at Meril because of Emeril, clearly, knowing nothing about the restaurant itself (except that it was named for Emeril's daughter.) We went on our last night of a 5-day New Orleans stay, and were excited about ending our stay that way. It's a visually appealing place, modern, sleek and energetic. We were seated at the far end of the main room, and noted how all the surfaces were hard, so we expected it to be a loud occasion. What we couldn't anticipate was that a group of six very enthusiastic female friends would be seated at the table next to us. Within the first few minutes, it was clear we couldn't enjoy an evening in that environment. Just as my husband went to the hostess stand to ask for a different table, our server Shannon came to explain to me that the place is meant to be a party place, and it's always loud, with cotton candy sparklers for birthday celebrations and servers shouting about it. Nonetheless, the hostess found us a much pleasanter, quieter place where we could actually talk and enjoy the evening. The tide turned for us with that move. Zach and Fernando took over the serving responsibilities. We were served delicious Manhattans to set the tone for our experience. We learned it was a small plates-type menu, and it was recommended that we order a couple items per person. We loved, loved, loved the yellow-fin tuna wraps, crispy chicken livers, the kale salad (plenty for two!), and the fennel rigatoni. Emeril's red red wine was first-rate. We had our eye on the cinnamon toast bread pudding from the start, and it did not disappoint. Folks of all ages were enjoying the evening. It was delightful! We highly recommend Meril! We agree: "Eat, drink and be Meril!"

Service was great and food was amazing. We loved the small portions so we could taste lots of different things. Only one drawback was the noise level and firework smell every time there was a birthday celebration. But like I said......delicious.

When half of our party was detained for almost an hour past our reservation time, the hostesses worked with us to ensure we were able to be seated once they arrived. Truly outstanding service! (And the food was great, too). They couldn’t have been nicer or easier to work with...thank you!

Oh, and you can't leave without indulging in the warm chocolate chip skillet cookie for dessert. If you're not overly hungry when you arrive, skip everything else and just order the cookie. You will NOT be disappointed!

We had such amazing time! My family and I came down to NOLA for vacation and had a wonderful dinner at Meril’s. Our server, Taylor, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable with the menu and made a ton of great suggestions! From the fried oysters to the homemade pasta probably one of the best dinners I had here! Thank you Merils and Taylor for a memorable time

Beautiful upscale restaurant with a modern, upscale look. Every meal for our party of eight was very good and presented well. The portion size was rather small but the price was moderate and left room for the delicious desert options.

Went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday for lunch. Atmosphere was elegant, yet comfortable. Food was amazing! Try the cornbread and any of the ribs. Order several things and plan to share. They surprised my friend at the end with cotton candy and a sparkler! Waitstaff was helpful and attentive. Would definitely return!

The crusted gulf fish was very good, as well as the chicken thighs. Salads were disappointing, pasta was mediocre. They have some creative cocktails, and a diversified and well-priced wine selection. The noise level in the restaurant can be quite high, and service can be spotty and slow at times. In my opinion, there are better dining options in the city.

Between the many small plate options, we created two totally separate meals and enjoyed it served as first meal, then second meal. Clean small sharing plates between each. Great food, fun atmosphere. So glad we changed our reservation to 6p from 630p. By 630p, there may have been two tables left and the roar was over the top ... great for a large group, but we were a party of two.

Food was absolutely fantastic. We felt that we were in and out faster than we had thought. Nobody pushed us at all it is just that where we are from we are used to a meal of this caliber (and cost) to be an event.
Staff were excellent, personable and attentive.
My wife declared it to be the best meal she has ever had and is still raving about it. We look forward to visiting more of Emeril’s restaurants.
