   Very happy we chose to do their brunch buffet for Mother's Day this year. Few places do really nice buffets for special occasions, especially on the West Coast, nevermind Palm Springs. We were excited to see they were doing one, and we weren't disappointed. Very nice selections, especially numerous seafood choices, baked breads and pastries, and many brunch staples. But the highly attentive service really made the meal enjoyable, right down to coninuously replenishing the silverware based on individual food choices. And a lovely ambiance. Both our mothers loved it.

   For 125 a person expected a dining experience. Got breakfast fare and prime rib. Muffins on eggs Benedict were hard to cut with a steak knife, ham was cold and dry. Have been to several buffets at half the costs with sushi , duck, several meats, a lobster dish or two. The ambiance was good classic restaurant and the service was great the disconnect is with management I have to believe. Back for dinner maybe but no brunches here!

   This was our first time at this establishment. We arrived at 7:45p. Richard, our waiter took our drink order and came back a few moments later to tell us that they were out of martini glasses and if we wanted to alternative glass for our martinis. We found this very strange since it was so early in the evening and they were already out of glasses. We ordered shrimp cocktail, and the cocktail sauce had no taste. The chiliean Seabass was very fishy tasting. All in all it should’ve been a very pleasant dining experience felt lacking. Definitely need for improvement from management.

   Food was good but not special. Chicken pot pie was the best of all our meals. Service was fine. Dining room was very nice. Being local and having some family come to visit we wanted something special. This was not the place for us in the future.

   Melvin’s is upscale and a bit pricy but the service and food was less than expected. Waiter was curt and did not explain menu or specials. I had the Filet which tasted like it had been frozen. A bit dry and mushy. My partner had the lamb and said it was fair. Melvin’s was Sinatra’s favorite hang out and it definitely has that vibe. The bar is a cool place for a martini or Manhattan. I will stick to the bar in the future. Lunch is ok.

   Quiet, sophisticated atmosphere with a delicious looking menu. We started with the caesar salad to share, but it was missing the croutons that were mentioned in the menu description. Overall, it was nothing spectacular. We had a lovely bottle of Cabernet, the 8oz filet, the salmon, and shared garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium and it came out rare- so the whole meal needed to go back and be recooked. As we waited patiently our server kindly offered us another glass of complimentary wine. The second round was perfect and we enjoyed a lovely dinner. For dessert we had the keylime cheesecake and it was a delightful finish. Beautiful looking grounds and patio.

   Loved the restaurant. It is old school elegant with beautiful chandeliers and tables spread out. Loved the vibe and look. Waiter was very nice. We came for our anniversary and they gave us a glass of champagne. We heard the food isn't the best and that was sadly true. Escargot was good but should have come with bread. Steak tartare and chips had no flavor. My husband enjoyed his burger. I had steak frites, steak was beyond chewy, I could not finish it. The truffle fries were great. My cosmo was very vodka forward, I had to ask for my cranberry juice but I am just not a big drinker. My husband liked his Vesper and got a second one. Overall great for a romantic, beautiful vibe, but not for the food.

   One of our favorite places to visit when we are in Palm Springs! Such great ambience, food, and music! The food is outstanding, and the service is fabulous!

    We had the carrots and mashed potatoes as well as banana foster for dessert. All was bland. We enjoyed the deviled eggs and our Steak Diane and Ribeye
