   We’ve been coming to La Valencia for over 20 years, today must have been an off day, it wasn’t good, bummer as it was Mother’s Day! Our food was lukewarm, the spanakopita appetizer was cold and exactly like the ones you buy at Costco or the grocery store, thrown onto a plate with yogurt (poorly plated), the potatoes tasted like leftovers from the day before. The best part of the service were the gentleman bussing the tables, as I had to ask them for different things and they were kind enough to do it. It wasn’t busy at all when we were there and although the server was very nice, the service was subpar. You can do much better La Valencia, especially at the expensive price point, definitely not worth the money today!

   Always a beautiful setting while eating excellent and well proportioned meals. Service today was exceptionally professional. After 45 years, it is still one of my favorite places to take visitors to La Jolla. Please keep doing it well.

   Staff was very professional and friendly. The food was great and the ambience and view are simply amazing!

   The hostess and waitress in the lounge were some of the rudest people we’ve ever encountered. Saw them being rude to others as well - horrible.

   Went for afternoon tea. Food was ok a bit disappointing for expectations. Service was not very attentive. Views and room were fabulous.

   The Mediterranean Room never disappoints. The food is delicious, the menu well-appointed and presented beautifully. The service is excellent. This restaurant is an icon in La Jolla and its reputation is well deserved.
