Great place, as always. Love the smoked meats and the creative dishes they put together. brew selection includes lots of local brewery choices.

Fantastic little treasure spot! The staff is super friendly and takes the time to chat and recommend items. The brisket, well everything we've ever had, is outstanding! Very flavorful! The mac n cheese is very addicting, and the loaded fries! Oh, the loaded fries! You better bring a friend or two to share those! A great place and worth the drive!

I purposely made a reservation through Open Table since it was a Friday night, we had a party of 6, and it was Graduation/Father's Day weekend.....I did not want to wait for a table. We got to the restaurant a little after our reservation time and saw a sign that said "Seat Yourself," but no clean tables big enough for our party. I told a worker that we had a reservation and I was a little upset that they had no record of our reservation and he said that they had been having issues with Open Table not forwarding the reservation to them. Luckily, he found a table big enough for us, it just needed to be bussed and cleaned. We had no other issues that night, except for them running out of cups. Ordering was easy and food was good.

I only rated them lower because you certainly don't need reservations! You stand in line to order your food. You take your number to your table for delivery. The food was great for a BBQ and Beer pub. We are going back again with friends but will know what to expect. It is perfect for a casual beer night out with buds.

We were unable to make our reservation, but all of our past experiences there have always been terrific. My family loves the food. It’s a community favorite! We always see someone we know there.

Lots of great bbq and smoked meat selections. Vibrant setting. Happy hour is fun. Beer a little expensive but lots of craft beer / local brewery selections. Good times for everyone.

Tee Best BBQ in the OC, not to mention a great beer list and they are Los Angeles Kings Fans
The ribs are excellent and do not miss out on the pulled pork chili verde. BEST EVER!

We brought my future MIL here for Mothers Day, and also my Mother’s Day. The service was horrible, the food was cold. Nobody ever came to check on our table. They ask you to pay AND TIP before you even get your food. If you are making US do all of the work and the only thing you do is bring it to the table, it’s not even worth the $7 tip I left to begin with. We tip according, and I refuse to give $20 to employees who couldn’t even crack a smile to me on Mother’s Day weekend. We will not be back.

Wow! So yummy! The brisket is only on menu over weekends starting Fri. But so worth it; we went back Saturday for more. Very casual bbq atmosphere. They serve food on wax paper over rectangular tin plates. The meat was so tender and juicy. I cut through the paper and at some point was probably eating paper, but I didnt even care because the food was that good!

Big portions. Great for sharing. Lots of big benches for large groups. Plenty of options on tap.

Very disappointed. Showed up to the restaurant and was told they were out of almost all meat entrees. Not sure how this happens for a BBQ restaurant on a Saturday night. Needless to say we saw no reason to stay at the restaurant without any food.

My husband wanted "good bbq" to celebrate his birthday, and Meat Up did not disappoint. I really loved their sauces and the cider I drank was very good. My teenagers loved the "mac attack fries." We left with VERY full bellies and lots of leftovers!

We ordered an assortment of meats, including a perfectly cooked brisket (not a daily menu item), pulled pork, chicken, and pork ribs. The pork ribs could really benefit from longer smoking to absorb a better flavor, and they were much drier than our group expected. A juicy rib is better than a dry one that has to be doused in sauce that masks its flavor. Side dishes were plentiful. Though the feta fries are not a "side dish," they are a must-order, and be sure you have at least 3 other friends to share them with. If you're a beer buff, you won't regret the range of choices, and you'll likely encounter a new brew that'll hook you.

My husband & I shared the Mac Attack Fries (yum!) and the Mighty Zeus (also yum!) with black beans (so different & good!) . It was more than enough for the two us. I liked the dry rub in the fries - added a sweetness to the savory fry toppings. The sandwich had a little spice to it and was so good. We sampled the three BBQ sauces at the table and each was good in its own way. Hubby had a 714 beer (locally brewed) & he really enjoyed it. Sadly, I'm not a beer drinker, and there were only two wine options (red - Merlot, white - Chardonnay). I was told, however, that I could bring in my own wine without a corkage fee so I will happily be back with my favorite bottle!

1st time eying at Meat Up. The St Louis ribs were really good. The meat falls off the bone. It's not like other BBQ joints that claim their meat is tender, this place is legit. The Drumbs (bigger version of chicken wings were also good. I'm definitely going back for more. They also have a decent selection of brews.

My Daughter's family took me to Meat Up for my birthday on the 20th of December.
The food was outstanding! The meat actually fell off the bone and delicious and the Feta Fries were delicious as well.
If you like BBQ then, this is the place for you. Service was great. I highly recommend this place for REAL BBQ.
I pkan to go to Happy Hour as the menu looks delicious too.
Happy Hunting for your next BBQ joint. You won't be disappointed.

I had a tri-tip sandwich with a side salad; both were delicious and more than enough food. My husband tried the tri-tip dinner with fries and a salad. The tri-tip was more than he could eat, the fries had a barbecue seasoning on them that was different and very tasty, and the salad was delicious with their cucumber dressing. Our friend had the Big Belly Cubano, which was out-of-this-world delicious. For a casual dining experience and great food, this is the place to go. Not much ambiance inside, but the patio area was peaceful and comfortable. The beers on tap are great. Can't wait to go again. Bring your appetite!
