   This little place just off Islington High Street is a real gem, the food was delicious... the Iberico Pork is literally the best cut of meat I have ever had. Ive been to some of the great steak houses but that even tops Wagu Beef for me! Superb! I would certainly recommend this place if you are into your food but if you are looking for a cheap quick bite, you might be better off at Nando's. The service can be quick and we had to ask for a pause between meals, which was fine with the staff. The decor is simple and if you aren't in the fan's direct current it could get a little warm on a hot day. Will for sure be going back.

   I went to Meat People on a Sunday evening and found that it was very quiet; only two tables including my own. Although this was a bit of a shame with regards to the atmosphere the very friendly and approachable staff made us feel very welcome and at ease. The food itself was absolutely fantastic and as you'd expect from a restaurant called, 'Meat People' the Zebra starter and steak for main that I had were fantastic cuts and cooked very well indeed. The side orders with the steak were also very tasty but moreover were something a bit different from the usual (e.g. roasted pepper with egg and capers). The food and drinks were expensive, but worth the price if you're looking to spend roughly £40-50 a head!

   The Rib Eye sharing plate is just fabulous and enough for three! Cooked perfectly rare it was an absolute melt in your mouth feast! Friendly service and good frank wine advice from the excellent waitress from Malaga. The Iberico starter cannot be over recommended - simply Marvelous - as were the Zebra, Crab and Octopus. This was our first visit. It wont be our last!

   This is the second time I have visited and both times were great. The food is beautiful and the service very friendly. A good solid wine list and delicious flavours makes this a top choice for not only Meat People but veggie-lovers too. I will be coming again soon,

   If you want SA steak cooked well at reasonable prices, this is the place for you. I had the crab cakes to start, which whilst not enormous, was certainly full of crab. My dinner partner had a delicious grilled asparagus. We both opted for 200gm of rib eye, cooked differently, but perfectly. We ordered 3 sides, which was plenty. The description of French beans and mixed leaf salad does not do service to just how tasty both was. We had 1 glass of delicious NZ Sav Blanc and a 500ml carafe of Malbec. Inc 2 coffees, bill was about £105.00 inc. Not bad I think, considering how crazy steak restaurants can be. Atmosphere is light-hearted formal and buzzy without stupid loud music. Good for special occasions and casual dinners.

   Three of us went here on Saturday night, I’ll give you the negatives first. They ran out of Zebra Starter - we were all keyed up for that so it was a shame, The Service Charge was put on our bill twice (it was quickly rectifed) also the place was roasting - almost oppressively hot. Now the good bits - the ambience/atmosphere is great, old blues music playing, relaxed and informal. The service was exceptional - waitresses are friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is good - the Squid starter was really tasty as were the Crab Cakes. The steaks are as good if not better than many other restaurants purporting to be steak specialists. It ain't cheap but it's a great dining experience - will (save up) and go again.

   Excellent recommendations and knowledgeable and amiable staff willing to take the time to talk to their clientele. Food was superb and the place itself was great. Good cocktails also.

    Sunday late lunch. I went for steak and was not disappointed. Well sourced meat cooked accurately. But I might have been tempted by the other choices on the menu. Next time maybe. Short but good wine list. A couple of good bottles of red washed it all down nicely, rounded off by a shared cheeseboard. Service was very good and happy to be flexible with choices. Recommended if you want some good steak.
