Mastro's Steakhouse - Houston
Great experience, atmosphere and service
Se equivocaron en lo que pedimos y la carne un poco padada
Great to sit in terrace! Great service
Food was great, beautiful restaurant!, Service was awesome!! We will be back.
Everything about our experience was amazing.
The table was set by the waterfall. Ambiance was perfect for a birthday dinner.
The manager Tucker came by the check on our table several times.
They even personalized our Menus to say happy birthday!!
Food was prepared perfectly. We even had some split plates and the waiter was super relaxed about it. (We all know some nice restaurants get weird about it!)
We finished the night with the butter cake which is a cant miss!
Love this place and 1000% recommend for date nights or special occasion! They know how to make you feel special here!
The service was great , that was actually the best part of the evening. The food was ok, we have had better. I am still waiting to taste the truffle on my steak. I don’t understand the hype around this place. Overrated !
Great dinning experience! We will be back!
Outstanding experience! Great service, food and drinks. It was my birthday so we received menus that said "Happy Birthday Kelly" at the top. Just a small thing they did that made the night special.
Fabulous experience, a wonderful wait staff and excellent food.
4 top table a bit tight w/ all the set up, and a bit loud for soft talkers...
food and service was excellent and expected for the price. A very classy venue w/ great drinks and live music at a very reasonable sound level..
Food was amazing, service just ok. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night but waitress didn’t wow for the amount of money spent.
My lady and I went to Mastro's and we had a blast....our first visit and we will be coming back...the pork chops are to die for and drinks are great!!!!
The food is very good! Their 12oz Centercut is the best steak I've ever had in my life. The waitresses were awesome and super helpful. I thought for sure I was going to leave there hungry but they actually give you quite a bit of food even though it is a la carte. We will definitely make it a habit to return every year for our anniversary.
It's a bit pricey, and the restaurant itself looks more like an upscale club than a restaurant. We were encouraged to dress upscale but most of the people we saw while we were there were casually dressed, lots of jeans. This isn't a bad thing, but I just want to set that expectation as I was expecting something a bit more upscale myself. But that won't deter us, we will just dress more comfortable next time.
The food was delicious and I enjoyed my birthday celebration there!
Food wasn't done well.
Steak was too bloody for me.
I asked for medium well no pink what did I receive a bloody mess
Server was very forgetful we order a bottle of wine and he was suppose to bring an ice bucket to our table but he came back asking if we wanted to an ice bucket lol.
It's all good it was a busy night so I will forgive him
We had reservations at 6:45 everyone around us got there after seven and we’re attended to before us we did not get bread till 730 and their excuse was they gave our bread to somebody else. Staff was very attentive to others but we didn’t feel very welcomed and we’ve been there many times so we didn’t understand what was going on. I don’t think we will be going back one of our drinks took 30 minutes to get to our table. Mind you we spent over $400!
The food was great.. Staff was nice. Scenery was Omg 🥰. I would definitely eat here again.
Food was delicious, be prepared to spend some money ! Service could of been better.. Overall pretty decent dining experience!
Our Waiter Micheal was outstanding. He provided suggestions about the menu.
Celebrated Valentines Day!
Food was just ok. Bland
Too many people celebrating Valentine's Day caused noise levels to be high...
Great please but Valentines Day was quite loud and crowded....as expected.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day 2020 at Mastro’s and had a flawless dining experience! We enjoyed a few of their great signature cocktails, which were mixed well and strong. Our meals were well prepared and the restaurant had more of a Valentine’s celebration feel (which we enjoyed) vs. the quiet romantic dinner we have on a regular basis at other upscale restaurants.
It was Valentine's Day, so the restaurant had squeezed in a high number of additional tables to take advantage of the additional demand. Understandable from a business standpoint, but it DEFINITELY impacted the experience. We rarely saw our server, and she was clearly overwhelmed when we did catch her attention. Our adjacent tables were just a few feet away, so you could hear a lot of conversations in addition to the live band, which was turned up a little hot for a night where a little more intimacy in the setting would have probably been warranted. Food was amazing though!
Food and service was excellent!
Service was great as always
yes , my wife and will be coning back to this establishment again. We will be bringing friends next time as well. Thank you guys so much and your manager Luis
Loved the atmosphere and food the day of and my leftovers were just as great the next day! ❤️❤️❤️
Fabulous atmosphere for Valentine’s Day dinner. The Quail knots appetizer is deliciously unforgettable.
We were late due to traffic and the hostess staff was very understanding and seated us very timely. We loved our waiter Mohi who provided excellent recommendations along with his assistants. The food was beyond amazing and cooked to perfection. Overall amazing experience and can’t wait to return!
Could not wait to try out. maybe my expectations were too high? food was average, Vic and Anthony's slightly better. Service from the reception to table service was excellent. disappointed that they are not in the Landry's select program.
The service and food were exceptional. Our reservation was at 5 and it was perfect until about 6 when the place really filled up and our waitstaff became slightly less attentive and the tables were a little too close for conversation anymore because of the amount of peopl. I recommend going a little early around 5. It was PERFECT.
I had a great first time experience. Initially some of my guest felt that they were out of place And not acknowledging like some other guest for example we had to ask for bread. They also felt that they received stares because they may not have dressed appropriately. Despite that, they were treated with respect and provided with good service.
Everyone and everything was great. We were a little late due to traffic and they called us and held our table. The service was great and the food was outstanding!
Beautiful place and has a great potential. However, the restaurant that claims to be upscale, with dress code, it lacks in hospitality. We made reservation for late afternoon and came 15 minutes early. With no reservation we’d be seated right away as the place was literally empty. Yet the blonde young hostess made us wait for exact time of our reservation. Seemed unreasonable and, frankly, quite petty. This was a birthday dinner and the mood was definitely impacted. Steaks were good, as was quail appetizer. Waterfall humming plus somewhat loud music prevent carrying on a conversation. Overall, not impressed. Most likely will not return.
I’ve been to every Mastros in california and by far Houston Mastros from the view to the seasoning of the steak Blown away !!!
I had a very great time to celebrate my birthday with freinds.
everything was awesome specially I had my own menu with my name 👍
thanks again Mastros ,will go back again for sure 😋
In my opinion, there is not a better high-end steak house experience in Houston than Mastro's.
The sommelier made a wise choice on a beautiful red wine for dinner with my friend. The steaks and accompaniments were extraordinary, and the service was impeccable. I do have a huge problem with the noise level at Mastro's. There was thumping rock music in the background, and it was so loud my friend and I could barely here one another. The music needs to be lessened a huge amount, and accoustical tiles could absorb the excess noise.
