Last night's meal was one of the better ones we have had at Mastro's. The last couple of times there the food was not terrific. Last night they were firing on all cylinders. The steaks and the cocktails were great, so were the sides and of course the to-die-for butter cake. Our meal was made even better by the excellent service we received by Christopher our waiter. 2-negative marks; the hispanic busboy kept trying to take plates before we were done, which made us feel rushed. By saying Hispanic I am saying he spoke no English at all which made it impossible to communicate with him. He was very quick and rush-rush which was completely out of place in terms of the overall service we received. Lastly, the mens room no longer has a valet with a selection of sundries. I was told by one of the manager's that a customer in another state complained because they felt the restaurant was trying to get extra revenue or an extra tip. I say screw them, this is part of the ambiance and it needs to come back.

We have been to this restaurant countless times and unfortunately food quality and attention to service with customer first feel seem to be degrading. It has always been a go to for celebrating but this place may have seen better days.

It was a nice Sunday Dinner. Lights are a lil bit too low! Can’t even see your food or the menu. Other than that the service was excellent and the food and drinks was Fire. Love it!

Food was good but ours steaks were cold other wise the appetizer sautéed shrimp and garlic mash were good and when doing a Ceasars salad it should be more green not majority iceberg

Food quality is very much at the highest level. However the steaks can on occasion come to the table less than piping hot. It happened this last time however the Staff appreciates being communicative on all dishes and they remedied the situation by heating it in quick time and bringing it back out. Side dishes can be the same and again they will quickly re-heat it ( stove ) and/or provide a new one. Quality is great and price is good in a live music ambiance.

We havent been in a while, but seems to me that the restaurant has gone a bit downhill since Covid and it is not quite the same level as I remember. Service is quite good, but we found the restaurant to be a bit too loud, and the food was "good" but not great. The french fries were truly mediocre. An "okay" experience (on Mother's Day), but no longer our favorite steak house (on the block).

Sat down and ordered immediately. 2 steaks took over one hour to come out. Arrived to the table ice cold and ridiculously undercooked. Restaurant was half full and we were sat directly underneath a loudspeaker. Staff lacks coordination and decision making skills. Service was extremely poor. Food was awful

This used to be “wow knock your socks off service”!!!! Now it’s just Meh. We have been coming here for years. It’s just not the same Creamed spinach was bland Brussels had no flavor and were undercooked Mashed potatoes have also become more bland The steak was over cooked. The last three times we’ve been here it’s either been wow so undercooked or a hockey puck on my plate. Ambiance is great though. It’s a fun night out. still one of the better steak houses, it’s just fallen a long way in the last 5-6 years.

I frequent Mastro's at least once a month. Tonight must have been an off night. It took a bit for the waitress to come take my order and even longer for water service. Food delivery was slow even though the restaurant wasn't full. They are normally really prompt about taking your finished food away & refilling your water. Scallops were luke warm, but fortunately, the sauce was hot to warm it up. I ended up skipping dessert just because it took so long for the food to come out.

I ordered medium petit fillet but it was like rare. I couldn’t eat it. They cooked the same steak again and this time it was well done. Not an amazing dinner as others.

Continues to improve after a noticeable drop during/after COVID. Quality is back to where I remember and this has again become my go-to place to take friends visiting from the abroad (where they lack good steak). Also appreciated the great server and wine guidance.

I nave to say there restaurant was very noisy and far far too dark. Everyone absolutely everyone was using their mobile phones to read the menus. We would go for the service and food but regret would never recommend this Mastros. We are from the UK and have always dined in Mastros Scottsdale and Troon North. You need to improve the lighting. It is totally unacceptable .
