Great presentation. Prix Fix menu for holiday was appetizing but more food than I really needed. Great flavors. Room was chilly so food cooled quickly. Server did great until the end when he got tapped by another table right when we had the check ready and he could not break away for what seemed like more than ten minutes. Not too busy and quiet music made mostly an enjoyable evening.

Most good, but when a dish was served that was, even by the waitresses admission, to be less than standard, no offer to re-plate, take it off our bill, comp a dessert, etc. Really made our anniversary kinda sad.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerqe. The menu has a ton of great options and the food is to die for. Service is always absolutely excellent. And their cocktail options are great! Must eats include the crispy brussel sprouts, the bacon wrapped dates, the diver scallops and the shrimp and chorizo dish. Fantastic restaurant in a totally beautiful setting. Allow half an hour to check the hotel Andaluz out.

The only reason not to vote outstanding was there were shortages of several wines and beers. And also they only served pint size draft beer and not short ones.

Great friendly service, food attractive and tasty but not 5 star. Need better shrimp for the paella and the bread pudding was too toasted or dried out. Also most Tapas have just that to eat vs. full meals. Love the hotel but the restaurant doesn’t follow the theme. Seems a little cool.

While the service was outstanding, and the food was very good, the restaurant was freezing and upon sharing this with our server she agreed and explained it had been that way all day. She said the engineer had been unable to adjust the air conditioning and it had been blowing full force all day (and obviously was continuing to do so). We asked to switch tables where we weren’t directly under a vent; this was somewhat helpful but it was still very cold. The restaurant advertises valet service for parking. Given this restaurant is downtown and we are reluctant to seek parking in a garage at night or on the street, this was reassuring to us. Upon arriving, after waiting in a lengthy line, we were advised they were not providing valet for restaurant guests that night. (We thus had to park on the street.) The reservation we made on Open Table asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. We shared that it was our anniversary. After dinner we mentioned it was our anniversary, as had not been acknowledged by the hostess or server. The kind server soon after brought two glasses out with a tiny bit of tasty champagne and a delicious raspberry. We drank this with our dessert. While this was a much appreciated gesture, to exceed expectations the restaurant could have read the comment in the reservation beforehand, wished us happy anniversary upon arriving or after being seated, and then brought out the champagne to begin our evening. Better late than never though. :) (It’s the attention to detail that can make patrons feel special and valued, and make a restaurant stand apart.) More importantly, though, and to be commended were the quality of the rib eye and the scallops which we ordered (both were delicious!) and the courtesy and great service we received from our server Mariso. These helped to offset the need to run our car heater on full blast all the way home so we could thaw out!

Carrot ginger soup - invigorating. Brussels sprouts- addicting. Salmon orzo - satisfying. Chocolate lava cake - underwhelming; no lava, and although housemade it seems like one at a grocery. Server (don’t remember her name, left my receipt) was attentive and prompt (10/15/23 Sunday lunchtime). There were flies but not bothersome, they weren’t hovering or hissing in the ears.Street parking is great on a lazy Sunday. Not busy, a few tables, so it was quiet.

We chose this restaurant because of its good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were unimpressed. The service was slow, even though the restaurant was far from full on a Saturday night. The lighting is quite bright, so not much ambience. we split the mezze platter, which was good. My husband had salmon, which he thought was fine, but nothing special. His margarita was also fine, which for $17, is should be! I had the wild mushroom risotto, which was tasteless. One reason we ordered those is that we don't eat pork or beef, so the choices were somewhat limited. When our server checked towards the end of the meal, he didn't ask why I hadn't eaten my main; he only asked if I wanted a box.

Amazing service! We didn’t get an entree, instead we did a variety of the tapas. Bacon wrapped dates were to die for, pork belly melted in your mouth, Brussel sprouts were outstanding, empanadas had incredible flavor, and the bone marrow was so rich and savory. Everything was absolutely incredible. One of the best meals I have ever eaten.

The drinks took forever to come. The food was ok. We had several small plates. The sticky ribs were very good. The empanadas were good. 2 empanadas, cut in half, per order. The chicken wings were good, not great. The pork belly was overcooked- waitress took it off the bill. The bone marrow was ok. I had the salmon dinner. It was disappointing. Fish was edible, but a little overcooked. The flavors mentioned in the description of the rest of my dish didn't match what I got. Flavor wasn't there. And my husband had a bluebcheese wedge. It's usually his favorite, but not here. So overall, we left full, but it waant a delicious experience. Wouldn't go back.

The food was awesome, portion sizes were very good. The main issue was the service. We arrived when they opened at 5pm. There was one other table seated. The first issue was the salad was delivered prior to the the appetizers. Second, water glasses were never refilled. One was actually removed from the table when we were finished with the main course. Third, we were never offered coffee or tea after or during the meal Fourth, no fresh silverware was given with the dessert. One of us used our dinner fork, and the other use his teaspoon from his coffee. I would still recommend this place as long as you are willing to tolerate the poor service.

We've eaten at Mas Tapas several times over the years, including set menu events and normal dining nights or special occasions for us. I feel like it is great for cocktails and tapas, but for dinner you might be better looking elsewhere. Our most recent visit had very slow service, and the tapas were both far better than our entrees we chose to order. The Iberico pork Secreto was particularly good. The paella was good, but not great, with decent crispy chorizo and lackluster seafood (only shrimp). My wife's risotto had a lot of lemon seeds in it, not something you expect at the price point for sure. The cocktails were a highlight, the bloody nigroni was excellent, and we will be back for drinks and tapas, but not for mains.

Food was not traditionally Spanish. It seemed bland and the selection was limited. I was disappointed because the price point was high, but the food was “meh”. Like, there were no olives, Marconi almonds or marinated herbal feta for snacking or as a choice! I feel that the flavor was kinda “dumbed down” and it was unexpected. They need a traditional Spanish- trained tapas chef.

Food was good -- heavy meat focus. Chorizo on the mushrooms, ham with the shrimp, potatoes roasted in duck fat... As seafood vegetarians the kitchen was able to accommodate us, which was great. The portions seemed LARGE, I'm used to tapas offering small bites, where the plate serves one or MAYBE two people. These could have easily been split three ways, so good value for the money. Service was great and the only reason for the "energetic" noise level was a live band in the lobby, which did not have the best acoustics.

Our first stop on our return to Santa Fe and while the Andaluz is one of the most dramatic spaces we've experienced, the food was sadly disappointing. Perhaps our expectations were too high. The brussels sprouts were well crisped, but a bit undercooked. The Patatas Bravas weren't crisp and were flavorless. The bravas sauce was ok (according to my wife) but tasted largely of bell peppers (which I cannot stomach) and not at all of smoked paprika. My pinot noir was way sharp, even with food. I hope this was just bad luck.

When I mentioned, this is my first time here, and ask her to recommend something to me between two options, all she did was describe each platter.

We have eaten here several times. The food has always been pretty good, albeit a little overpriced. However, this time we had a lot of issues with the hostess, who wouldn’t seat us despite numerous tables being open because we arrived 10 minutes early. Then, she tried to sit us at a high top table that my wife couldn’t comfortably sit at despite the restaurant being less than half full the entire duration of our dinner. I also had to tell her four separate times of our name and reservation because she kept forgetting during the 15 minute wait. She never got us from the bar section and we never would have been seated if we hadn’t checked in again. Food service was very aloof and inconsistent as well, despite the few patrons at the restaurant. This was not the Mas Tapas that we had come to know and love over the past couple of years. I am not sure what was going on last night, but it was a little off putting and discouraging. We might be thinking twice about dining here as frequently as we do.

We have had several meals at Mas. While we do not expect to receive a Casbah always, we asked for one for a birthday celebration when making the reservation a week in anticipation. The reservation was confirmed. About 30 minutes prior to arriving at Mas, Hotel Andaluz called us and said we were to pay $50 to be seated in a Casbah, which was more than rude and disappointing. Why not call us and tell us "the policy changed 'about' two weeks ago" so that we could change our options; why wait until a few minutes prior to arrival??? We chose not to pay $50. The whole time we were there, ALL of the Casbahs were empty, so GOOD LUCK with trying to rip off loyal customers, Hotel Andaluz! While most of the food was good, the portions have changed (gambas and chorizo is no longer shrimp and slices of chorizo, but rather shrimp and bits of chorizo in a cup! And, the $48 steak is tiny! Bread was served burned and rather than replacing it we were offered a food credit because the kitchen was slammed). Otherwise, the service was excellent, and the food was mostly good, but I don't think we will be in a hurry to return to Mas, which is a shame. It was the best place to go, we thought, but now not so much. :-( Sorry for a negative review for all that work there so hard.
