Diver Sea Scallops
Israeli Cous Cous | Meyer Lemon Aioli | Crispy Ham
Excellent service, delicious and original Tapas. We loved the coconut shrimp with a curry couscous and the pork tenderloin with grilled onion dish.
OMG. Our dinner was absolutely fabulous. From the greeting, to our table assignment, to our drink order, to our various food orders, and to our wine order, to our after dinner drinks, and most importantly our waiter, Giusseppe, we had an unforgettable dining experience. The Diver Sea Scallops and Artichokes were so tasty and perfectly prepared. We then had the Iberian Secreto and the Pork Belly dishes, which were exquisitely prepared and presented. If we lived in Albuquerque, we would eat here on a regular basis.
Disappointed in the paella and tapas. We have fond memories of the same items in Barcelona and looked forward to visiting this restaurant. The staff was excellent but the food was expensive and mediocre at best.
We were very disappointed with this restaurant for the Taste of Albuquerque. Each of the three course meals were basically cold. My entree had ribs so tough and overcooked I gave up. It had a congealed sauce over the top that looked like it came out of a Swanson‘a gravy can. The wine and the cocktails were good but how hard is that to get right? $225 later and we will never go back. Better to drive to Santa Fe to have food prepared u chefs who know what they are doing. Bummer.
amazing flavors of the Salad served during the Restaurant week 3/9/2020
Service was incredibly slow. we had wanted to order more food and dessert because the tapas were amazingly tiny. We couldn't order more because we had already burned 1.5 hours and were on our way to a concert. The dinner was approximately $80 for three tapas & wine that consisted of:
1.) 4 slivers of a single mushroom
2.) 4 shrimp with some small pieces of chorizo
3.) 5 asparagus spears
4.) 2 glasses of least expensive pinot noir.
We were starving when we left.
The chicken was very, very dry!
My first experience there was just...ok.
Food not amazing to suggest others to try it.
The tapas make a very fine meal and Giuseppe took very good care of us. Overall an excellent experience.
Great food and service. This is a must go place when we visit Albuquerque.
Wonderful place for tapas, we only had a few dishes but everything was excellent
The food was amazing and the food and beverage director did an amazing job at keeping everything flowing as well as took care of us ... we had a small incident at the hotel… everything was rectified perfectly and we were made to feel like celebrities. My three boys love this restraurant and it is just a fun experience...chef Marc Quinones is a very gifted chef and extremely creative...bring a big appetite!!!
A delightful surprise with amazing food. Excellent help from server choosing & describing various dishes. We will go back!
We used to love this place... it has gone down hill! 5 out of the 6 tapas we got were over seasoned. All we could taste was the salt. Our waiter started out strong, but forgot about us several times (we waited 20 mins for our panna cotta... which tasted like J-E-L-L-O). It was an experience that we will remember the next time we are looking for a fine dinning experience.
Service always great. Fit for foodies. Quiet enough for conversations.
This was our first visit to Mas Tapas y Vino. It will not be our last. The service was friendly yet professional and the food was very good. The tuna on the small plates menu was our favorite.
The food was perfection and Chef Marc Quinones is beyond talented. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Our party of people had such a wonderful experience here! We were celebrating a special occasion, so we brought our own cake. Our server decorated it with out little decorations and served it to us. She was attentive and spot-on with our orders. We had someone who is gluten-free, and a couple vegetarians, and everyone was able to order and thoroughly enjoyed their food. I will definitely be going back!
Food was great. The server kept forgetting to clear the dirty dishes off the table even after asking. Kind of weird. But really, the food was great.
The food was delicious and the wine on Wednesday is 1/2 off. Great deal for a delicious dinner.
Place has a posh vibe, great for dinner dates as well as a night out with friends. Food is very tasty and staff are courteous. I guess the price is justified by the ambience and the food presentation. For me, its a fusion of fine dining and tapas.
The ambience and general decor was excellent and the service staff was also very good. However, the food was not spectacular. My Tapas were very good, however the scallops were far too overcooked. My wife's meal was also extremely salty as was mine. It was a Saturday evening so I would expect an A game staff to be on duty but the cook staff definitely was not up to the task that equaled to 180.00 bill for two.
Could have used a couple more wait staff. Our waitress could not revisit tables often enough to reduce waiting time for the patrons.
Excellent food and great presentations.
Excellent wine selections.
It was okay... I was expecting a multiple course meal from the name tapas.. instead we got a big piece of filet mignon which was the best filet I’ve had but it better have because I spent 180$ there!
Awesome V-Day dinner. We had the chef's special and the steak was outstanding. Our server was fantastic as well. Love Mas for special occasions.
A Valentine Dinner so no menu. My friend selected the fish which came so dry it tasted old. I selected the ravioli which was also dry and hard. Did not look or taste like a pasta dish. Sent both back with our waiter. Second fish was only slightly more moist than the first. No one ever asked how we like our fish cooked (to what doneness). I expressed when we returned the first serving that we like it more on the rare side.
My pasta, second serving, was as hard as the first. When I tapped on the ravioli with a knife, it sounded like I was tapping on plastic.
It appeared that the dinners were prepared ahead of time and was sitting under warming lights for some time before serving.
A very poor showing considering the price of $60.00 per person.
A wonderful find in downtown Albuquerque. Great food and atmosphere.
We found our new favorite restaurant in Albuquerque! The food was delightful, atmosphere great and Executive Chef Marc a joy. If you believe great food comes from the soul, then Mas won’t disappoint!
Amazing food and service! Best in ABQ! Highly recommend.
Have been eating at Mas one evening during Valentines week for the past 6 yrs. Never disappoints. Also the Lobby bar area in the Hotel(Andaluz) is super romantic.
Of all the tapas places I’ve been to, this one has the biggest portions by far. I left absolutely stuffed and didn’t feel like I’d spent a fortune to achieve it. The wine selection was nice as well.
Date night with family friends before Book of Mormon show. Food was delicious as usual for them.
Great ambiance and delicious food. Everything was really tasty.
We loved the tapas we ordered for sharing. My personal favorite were the crunchy "pizza" squash blossoms -- so yummy!
My 70th birthday celebration was just as I’d hope it would be. The tapas were great, the service was attentive and our group enjoyed it all. Thanks for a grand experience.
Someone please rescue this excellent chef from this stale dining room and indifferent service!
Gambas were delicious, very smoky broth with the chorizo.
Staff were very attentive.
Very good overall experience
There were only 2 other tables for opening Sunday brunch. The server was unkempt in appearance and disconnected from her role. It took her more than 10 minutes to take our drink order. We ordered 1 of each of the Tapas plates (except short-ribs). There were 4 people in our party, she failed to mention that one of the plates only had 2 pieces on it, had she we would've ordered 2 of them. We then had to order another portion. She did not offer to bring more wine, we had to ask her for it. She brought our bill, however didn't ask first if we wanted to order dessert. She seemed irritated by the fact she had to add to the order. The pork bun was dry/stale, the carrot cake was dry and flavorless, the chicken lettuce wraps were terribly flavored and were left on the plate. Waitress didn't even ask if there was something wrong with that item, or perhaps if we wanted them in a box to take home. Considering the amount of our bill, I really expected better food and far better service. We will not be returning, very disappointed. This was a birthday celebration for our daughter - wish we had gone somewhere else.
I wanted to eat paella and so decided to come here tonight. Im happy to have chosen this place. Food was great. We even got a complimentary bite sized treat. Which ive never experienced before.
Service was very good, & our brussel sprouts appetizer was also good, but - the Iberian ribs were so fatty we couldn't eat them, and two of our three desserts weren't good at all, namely - the carrot cake was dry (even with the mascarpone filling), & the chocolate bundt cake was also dry (it was either overcooked or old). We do plan on returning, & will try new tapas plates then.
Rudy was an excellent server. Food was excellent as always. Worth every penny.
