Enjoyed a great meal during the London Restaurant Week. Great cosy place, every dish was great, service was excellent. Would visit again.
I live nearby but haven’t been back to Margaux in some time. It is still filling up at dinner time so the noise level is medium to high. The food has slipped a bit - the beef was tasty but quite fatty. Overall it was an “okay” experience but for the price, I would expect more.
Regular visitors to this local restaurant but never fails to impress. New menu (with some old favourites still) with excellent ingredients, well presented and served by discrete but professional and friendly staff
We had a wonderful experience. Food was outstanding. Ambiance was noteworthy.
This is the second time I've been to Margaux and again I have been impressed with the quality of the dishes. The food is tasty and the service is great. Both visits I have taken friends from out of town there and they really enjoyed it.
Next time would request upstairs seating. We were seated in the basement which has no view and was less lively.
Amazing food, loved it all
Underrated neighbourhood gem. Tasty, well presented comfort food with a very good wine list.
The service was impeccable and ambience relaxing and classy. Thought the tuna tartare a bit fishy and the foie gras sweet versus traditional savory rich flavor. Scallops were good but duck breast was super good.
Absolutely exquisite food - one of the best meals I have ever devoured.
Went here for a meal on Sunday night ordered the beef fillet unbelievable, cut like a hot knife through butter. Service was excellent.
This was my third time dining here and it has proven to be consistently good. Excellent food, conciliatory & knowledgeable staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Also, not a Mickey Mouse t-shirt in sight.
This French themed restaurant featured photos from backstage at the Hungarian Opera - really! The food was good and the wait staff was very helpful.
Supplied lovely birthday cake and candle
Loved this place. Service was excellent and meals tasty, smallish but sort of expected that. Would definitely go back again.
Great wine list and staff. A neighborhood gem (15 minute walk to our Hotel K&K St George after dinner). A Sisters get together visiting London from various cities in the US.
Our first time at Margaux but hopefully not our last! Stunning french meal - beef and lamb cooked to perfection and unassuming but excellent service.
Quiet, almost hidden, gem on the Old Brompton Road. The food and service were excellent and the prices seemed fair given the quality of the experience.
I ordered lamb as a main course. There were only 2 very small lamb cutlets. A very mean serving.
Maitrede had too much attitude which was not appreciated.
Excellent as always - one of our favourites! Can definitely recommend
Was a good experience
We had a table for 7 at 1945 hrs and closed the restaurant down! The menu is good and the quality of food even better. A smallish but nicely diverse wine list provided a good selection to match the food choices. The waitstaff (Gabriel et al) were very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is "snug", maybe too snug for larger groups, but very intimate. We had a super evening and will return when we can.
Great food at good value on the fixed price menu! Service very professional and food delicious
Very good food, the chocolate sphere as dessert was definitely my favourite part of the meal, simply delicious! The waiters were very friendly and professional at the same time. I'll recommend this place to my friends, as it's a real neighbourhood gem.
We were expecting more from this place. The restaurant is nice and the service good. We were quite disappointed with the deserts. Overall it is a good place for lunch or dinner if you are nearby.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-Prom dinner at Margaux. The service was excellent and food very good. When we couldn't decide between two rosés on the wine list, the waiter happily brought us both to try. The portion of foie gras was extremely generous and delicious, the salad was a refreshing and interesting combination of endive, tomatoes and watermelon. Our main courses were very good - roasted fresh sea bass on a tasty mix of courgette, tomatoes and langoustines, and very tender beef Bourgignon with deliciously creamy polenta. I enjoyed the elderflower millefeuille with raspberries. The place is modern and intimate - the music wasn't entirely to my taste so I would have preferred it to be a little softer, but that was a minor niggle. I would definitely recommend this lovely neighborhood restaurant.
Tres bonne expérience dans l'ensemble. Et service agréable.
I had a lovely meal with my mom at Margaux - the wine was perfectly paired with a few assorted dishes that we split. After hosting her in London for a few days, this was our most favorite meal of the visit due to the fantastic flavors and interesting dishes in an atmosphere that had a good bistro vibe. I will definitely be back soon!
We were having an early dinner prior to a flight. Our son who was meeting us was delayed. The staff was extremely courteous and kind. The food and wine were excellent and we had plenty of time to catch our flight
The meal and the service were very good. The food was delicious and the service was attentive but not over the top. The wines were superb with a very good range on offer both as to price and style. The whole package of good food, good wine and good service made for a very enjoyable evening.
Delicious food! Can’t wait to go back and try another option from the menu. Atmosphere was very pleasant and service professional.
Loved the place and the food! However, a bit loud and though the service was good most of the night, the maître d’ was a bit rude when we first arrived. Still an amazing restaurant and delicious - I will definitely be back!
It is the 4th time I come to this lovely restaurant.
We always tried something different , and every time food , deserts was delicious .
Gabriel is a very professional person , good knowledge of the food he is serving . Great customer service !
I recommend it to anybody who passes by !
Thank you , and definitely me and my wife will come back !
What a perfect place to have a dinner. Lovely wines and great food.
Very nice little restaurant, very intimate, great service and the food was very well executed. We love the fact that it is not too big a restaurant (upstairs area). Service was discreet and attentive. We will happily go back soon.
Treated like welcome guests by the skilled, friendly servers! Delicious, fresh food made for a great date!
First visit and it ticked all the boxes for me!! A great night, we'll be back!
Good food - a more upmarket take on the classic French bistro. Nice ambiance, but service slightly patchy.
Excellent dining experience really good service and top notch food in a relaxed informal atmosphere. Would definitely return.
