   The food was good, however upon making my reservation there was no information that breakfast was only until 11, which was a little disappointing. our reservation was at 11, I would have made a different arrangement had I known that. The host service was terrible. I arrived to check in with a reservation I made a month ago and the host was rude, didn't smile, greet or welcome. She very seriously said she would be right with us then turned her back to us as she hung up the phone. When checking in I referred to my reservation and she said it wasn't there. she acted as though this was an inconvenience to seat us even though I had a confirmation number for the reservation placed a month ago. Once seated, the service was great. Our server was kind, sweet, and patient as we were waiting for our last part of the party. Overall it was a good experience, but being that the host is the first point of contact, she really had me nervous for the experience. She was incredibly rude, and didn't make a great effort to make us feel welcomed.

   So we turned up for our booking at Cantala restaurant, which we chose because we had seen good reviews and because we had looked into the room a couple of days previously whilst visiting the hotel's pool cafe for lunch. When we arrived we were told that the restaurant was no longer being used for dinner and that we would be seated in the Cafe Palmetto next door. This room had all the ambiance of a hospital canteen, bright lights and only one table occupied. They suggested we try the bar instead, but this was even worse. So we left, hungry and very disappointed at being so misled. It being the 23rd of December we were unable to dine anywhere else worth visiting.

   Had to provide low ratings b cause this restaurant, Cantala, no longer exists, despite accepting my reservation! Instead, we were seated in an adjacent restaurant cafe, Palmetto, which is located in a cold hallway with less than average food!

   The Thanksgiving Day menu was absolutely delicious. And a great price to boot. The ambiance was pleasant and noise level low to array on good conversation.

   Not sure why most of the bathrooms were out of order. I was sent to the back of the pool area, in the dark, with no signage of where I was going, to find a restroom. Of course by the time I found my way back to our table, our food had arrived, and getting cold.

    My boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel and had a credit to the restaurant and our experience was amazing! It was our anniversary so they gave us each a free glass of champagne. The food was very well priced and delicious! We both got a steak and it comes with your choice of a veggie, a sauce, and some type of potato. Our server was also excellent and so friendly which made the experience so much better. The atmosphere was great since it wasn’t super fancy but the quality was definitely there, and just what we were looking for. Will definitely be back!
