This was the worst meal we have had in all of our travels! We were there over three hours and barely spoken to. The turkey was dry and hard to cut, the Brussels were so overcooked they were as mushy as the parsnips. We didn’t have to worry about burning our mouths on anything because it was all cold. We waited 25 minutes to be seated after checking in with a reservation. The table we sat at was empty the entire time. We waited another 30 minutes for water. We offered to leave if they would give our money back. (We prepaid over $85/person for Christmas dinner.) Nope. Two hours in and we got our food. Dessert was served with a tiny coffee spoon. It was a chocolate mousse with stale popcorn on top. Cute place. Poorly done. Every table was upset about service and quality of food. We ordered a pizza back at the hotel. 🥲

Our Karaoke followed our disastrous meal attempt. We were taken to the Karaoke room - no explanation regarding room settings or Karaoke use - luckily we've been quite a few times before, so we're familiar with everything, but if it was a new experience you were screwed. Previously we have been visited by staff to make sure we were ok, and whether we wanted to order drinks. I'm unsure whether this isn't offered anymore, but no one came to check or to see if we wanted drinks. We made do with the water that was provided, as we knew that going to the bar to get drinks would take up to 20 minutes. We had a great time - because we just wanted to sing and have fun together - which we did. If you plan to book a karaoke room it might be worth finding out whether drink service is included.

We booked the restaurant for 16:00. At 17:20 we still hadn't received our food - we were told that the order hadn't been put through and we had to re,-order. We had karaoke booked at 18:00 and realised that if we ate we wouldn't make our karaoke time. We were offered a feeble "Yeah, sorry about that" when we cancelled our food. Our bill included a service charge - which was extremely poor. We had to flag down staff to order drinks and again to order our food (the first time). Totally disappointed for our Christmas get together.

We are all very thankful for the incredible service we received from the team at mama shelter. We had our team Christmas party there and it was great. Food came out quickly, we never had to wait around for a thing. I didn’t manage to catch the name of our server but he was amazing. Very on top of things and we never had to ask twice. Overall. Service was incredible. We will for sure be going back

The atmosphere at Mama was lovely and cosy. We went for the Sunday Roast and had two beef wellingtons. Unfortunately the beef wellington meat was very chewy, the gravy was very watery and the potatoes were under done. It was quite disappointing as I had been there 3 times previously and not had the same experience. The staff were very lovely, and did listen when we told them.

Poor quality food! Fish and chips offer, 80% batter and 20% fish - oily, greasy, terrible value for money! Nice venue, but maybe only for a drink!
