   Love this place. Best place to grab a meal upcountry. It’s cozy, beautifully decorated, and the food is amazing.

   5 meals ordered - clam chowder with baguette, birria ramen, double smash burger, venison stew and kalo burger and everyone was very happy with their food. Excellent consistency every time we go.

   It was really nice our service was super great We didn’t know if they had any dessert as no post or menu so we asked and yes they do the mud pie ( Kona coffee ice cream with Oreo crust) YUM

   It would be great if there were some outdoor dining as the noise level in the dining room is quite high. Given that you have the courtyard just there it would be a wonderful, quiet dining experience. Thanks.

   Always such a good experience at Makawao Public House. My go to is usually the steak, but we were lucky enough to get a whole fish and it was outstanding.

   We went for a family birthday dinner. There were 11 of us. The waitress was amazing. The food was exceptional when we were in the back room, which was very quiet. Will definitely go back again. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

   Escaping Upcountry is always a top priority for my family when we visit Maui. This was our first visit to Makawao Public House and it lived up to our expectations and will now be on our list whenever we visit. It's great to have such a great local spot to eat in Makawao!
