The House and Caesar salads were large and a pleasant surprise when asked if I wanted (yes) anchovies on the Caesar. Tortellini (bacon addition was tasty) and Calamari were very pleasant. Apple Streusel and Angel Food Cake Bread Pudding were over the top. It was my fault for not asking for a different table. When we were seated at a window booth, the air conditioning was blowing directly upon us - we froze the entire evening and could not wait to go back outside. Further we seated adjacent to a very loud 7-person party that really spoiled the evening as it was impossible to talk over their volume. My mistake.

Service was outstanding - lots of profit on the overpriced wine - steak was very tender however they put the steak on a bed of brown gravy which was a disappointment.

From the moment one crosses the threshold, the aroma of seared perfection and ocean-fresh delight greets you like an old friend. The oysters, chilled and briny as Neptune’s own offering, are a revelation. The scallops, kissed by flame and butter, melt upon the tongue with such tenderness, one might believe the sea itself had sent them as tribute. And lo, the steaks — oh, the steaks! Each cut a hymn to craftsmanship, cooked with reverence to the beast and served with honor. Juicy, tender, perfectly charred, they are less a meal and more a benediction. Pair thy feast with a wine list worthy of Bacchus himself, or indulge in a cocktail whose elegance rivals the setting sun. But it is not just fare that elevates McKenzie’s to legend — it is the service, embodied most excellently by Dylan King, a steward of hospitality. With grace, humor, and an eye for detail, Dylan transforms a dinner into a memory, and a night out into a tale to be told. In sooth, McKenzie’s Chop House is not merely a restaurant — it is a rite of passage for the palate. Five stars are but too few.

Service was great. Food was average and very over priced. Everything was cold, the butter wouldn’t melt on the baked potatoes

The area we sat was private but then a family sat on the other side of the wall. Talk was loud. The food was delicious. It was very expensive for a king crab leg and steak. Dessert was really good and so were the drinks. Our server Hannah was great too. Very attentive.
