The food is always delish here and the service and drinks are excellent. Still worth it despite the weird covid hours this is an excellent restaurant
Not too busy… ok with me and 85yo dad. We could even hear each other. Ordered the “Seafood Plateau “ and was perfect. Raw Oysters in June makes me a bit nervous, but feel fine the next day. That with martinis makes me happy. The server didn’t need to mention that the “Plateau” was much “bigger” prior to COVID. We thought it was the perfect amount for 2. Done the big name Legacy restaurants of NOLA. Now interested in “finding” something different.
Great happy hour and our dinner was wonderful. Service was above and beyond.
We had a memorable dinner at Luke. We were there for happy hour and started with a cocktail and oysters. Oh my! The oysters were yummy and served beautifully. We also had the pate and Brussel sprout appetizer. Both were large servings and extremely flavorful and well presented. Our servers were attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back today for lunch. The staff at this restaurant do an outstanding job!
Best deep fried oyster ever! Crispy, juicy and fresh
The food was great. The meal could have been better paced. One guest ordered a salad and also ordered the bisque. He told the waiter to serve the bisque after he finished his salad. The bisque and salad came at the same time. Halfway through our appetizers the entrees arrived! We realize everyone is trying to get back up to speed, but pacing out the meal a little better would be appreciated.
Service was slow but food was great and restaurant was great. Highly recommend.
Pate and mussels were excellent!!
Great quiet place to eat, worth every dollar, only thing is the biscuit is a bit dry.
While Luke’s seems to be a must while in NOLA, we will most likely not be back. The atmosphere is great but the food is mediocre for the price you’re paying. I wish we had a set waiter/waitress for consistency but this was not the case. Temperature on gumbo and etouffee were on the lukewarm side vs hot. Over all it was good but will if we visit again, it will be for drinks only.
done this is all I care to say at this time. I enjoy the meal.
The place was really busy. The food was okay, but not worth the prices in our opinion. The service was really bad.
Excellent Food and will definitely be back. Service was very spotty but when our waiter was at our table, he was great. I believe there must have been a shortage of help. Our waiter did comp our coffee due to the our order for some, forgotten. Thumbs up for that. Again, food is amazing I just felt our table was forgotten about as we had to continually wave someone done for help.
The seafood was excellent.
Great food and drinks. Service was also great, will return
Good choice for brunch.
Food is good but overpriced. There are plenty of other places in New Orleans to get good seafood and at an affordable price.
Reunion with friends in New Orleans!
Great food. Really noisy but would go again in a heartbeat.
Was great, my girlfriend and I had my bday dinner there. The staff was great, even brought us the dessert that said happy birthday and happy anniversary (which was on the weekend). Great food great staff.
The food is delicious and served quickly and professionally. Not the best place for the hard of hearing, however. It is loud.
We love to eat at Luke’s every time we are in NOLA!!
Gumbo was lukewarm and overly salty to conceal lack of flavor. Mussels were also lukewarm and I’m guessing the excessive quantity was intended to distract one from the bland seasoning. Lighting reminded me of a hospital surgery room - way, way too bright. Service was sporadic, and only one person was attentive. Another had noticeable “body odor “, which was quite unpleasant. Never again.
To be fair, I ate at Luke twice, one breakfast and one dinner. Breakfast was amazing, great food, great service. When I returned for dinner is where I feel they lost me a little bit. They had assigned 3 servers to work as a team to take care of me. This led to either them checking in way too frequently, or forgetting I exist at all. I had to ask 3 times for extra dressing, and finally received it 20 minutes later. Frustrating when trying to enjoy a salad. The breakfast food was amazing, the dinner food was just okay. I wasn’t blown away by the salad or crawfish flatbread. Will return for breakfast but no other meal.
The happy hour at LUKE make us more than happy, the raw oyster with the good price must try! We will happy to be back!
We’ve been to Luke multiple times. Let me start with the food was incredible. We will give it another chance because of that. The service was not. I had to ask 3 times for cocktail sauce for our oysters - we never got it. The table of two next to us (I could touch him without leaning over) was so loud we couldn’t enjoy our time at dinner. The one thing that I gave the 3 stars for is the service. We had to ask over and over for refills of tea and ketchup for our burgers. When I asked for ketchup to go for our half eaten dinner - we were told they only had two left in the entire restaurant and it had to last them until tomorrow. I’m not talking a full bottle of ketchup - I’m talking about the small to go ketchup (mini to go bottles) that after spending $130 on 2 hamburgers and appetizers I expected them to send it home with us.
The food was very good. Like most places now service a little slow due to employee shortage but all were friendly and helpful.
Great food and awesome atmosphere. I would go back next time we are in NOLA!
Wonderful brunch and great service from Jasmine!
Overall poor we won’t be back
Ordered drinks immediately, and then food. Food came while we continued to wait for our drinks. Had to ask twice. Eventually drinks came after food was almost gone. My wife ordered a simple glass of Prosecco and I ordered one of “their” menu cocktails. So not sure why the huge delay!
Our service was poor. After we got our food, the server never came back to check on us. We were never asked for a drink refill. Additionally, the back corner they had us sitting in was filthy/dusty. When we brought these concerns to the managers attention, we received an insincere apology. He also stated that the dust came from the linens of the napkins as if that’s a justifiable reason to have your guests seated in an area that is dusty. I will not be returning to Luke or recommending it to anyone.
This was the best visit and experience of a last minute reservation for brunch. We will make sure to visit here every time we visit NOLA.! Plus it is kid friendly which is a plus.
A lovely brunch with a lovely friend! Top notch food and wonderful service! You can’t go wrong with brunch at Luke!
Absolutely amazing. My fiancé already wants to go back! We went for his birthday and they even gave him a free desert ❤️ It was so sweet!
Simply an outstanding New Orleans restaurant. Service is professional and first class. Meals are rich with flavor and cocktails are pretty good! Today I tried the crawfish étouffée, and this is a great dish.
I went for brunch on my bachelorette trip and it was amazing!
Food was great and quick, staff was always close
amazing breakfast... large portions... great coffee ... attentive staff
I decided to come here with my husband after a good friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed from my overall experience.
I ordered the Pâté of Louisiana Rabbit & Chicken Livers, and it did not have all the truffles as seen on many photos on help (I had four with mine, whereas most, if not all, had six truffles/assortments). In addition, I did NOT receive the bread either. I asked the waiter if any of the truffles and/or the bread was missing, and he rudely said, "Why would you trust any of the pictures on Yelp? You definitely shouldn't. We change the menu all the time, you have to know that." However, he did get the bread for my husband and I after.
We also ordered "BBQ" P&J Oysters, Specialty Oysters and Citrus Cured Gulf Tuna Tartare. The food tasted great, but the portions of the Citrus Cured Gulf Tuna Tartare were disappointing. It was almost like an appetizer instead.
In addition, the waitress would forget to get the refills of our drinks that we requested (water and Diet Coke) several times throughout the night, to the point where we had to keep reminding her and eventually another waiter.
Overall, I would not come here again. The service could greatly improved, and I wish I got the name of the waiter to file a formal complaint to the manager.
