Great food and service. Good place for celebrating special occasions.
Rabbit chicken liver pate was outstanding. moules frites also very good but a bit on the spicy side. staff very overworked and next to impossible to get their attention if you needed something
Thank you to our awesome waiters, Devon & Julian! Great food and great atmosphere.
Food very well executed. Great service. Shrimp and grits outstanding.
Food was basic but not exciting. Expectations from reviews made it a disappointment but it was okay.
Excellent fresh seafood, with strong drinks. Very good service
Great food and service.
most delicious meal on our trip- Generous portions. Prepared to perfection. Great service. Wonderful ambiance. Outstanding oysters! Crispy Brussel sprouts to die for.
An off night. Very busy. Food was good.
Been there before. Looks like it’s mostly geared for tourists. Food was ok, not great. Service was spotty.
The usual French bread was hard and cold. They could do a better job with that. My fish was ok but nothing special. Swordfish only choice in New Orleans?? Really, with all the gulf fish available
I am always so happy to eat those raw scallops!
Best burger ever! Loved the salad and winter veggies. Great location. Lights were a bit bright for evening.
The oyster happy hour is fantastic. Wonderful P&J oysters! Homemade horseradish. Wine list (captains list) is reasonably priced and has everything our group wanted. Servers were professional and fun. It’s a bustling, somewhat noisy place- but a great time on every level.
Food was amazing. Service was awful. Waiter has no business working in customer service. Empty glasses sat for 20 minutes. Order was placed and entered wrong. Disaster and I was a table of 1.
This place is absolutely wonderful for breakfast! We made a reservation via Open Table for 9:45am on a Sunday. Our table was ready the moment we arrived and our server promptly took our order. Everyone from the hostess to the servers clearly cared about providing their customers with top service. For example, midway through our meal, our server replaced my hot tea with a fresh bag and water at no extra charge. The little things! And of course, our food was unreal good. My partner and I split the shrimp and grits with over medium eggs and the chicken biscuit sandwich (two courses for two people). Both are a must! Very fresh, very yummy. Many thanks to Luke for bringing us to life on a rough Sunday morning!
Great food and service which is a pleasant surprise post covid dining .
We have dined at Luke several times when visiting New Orleans. Great food and attentive service.
Good food. The shrimp & grits seemed a little over-seasoned (salty) for my taste, but overall the food was very good. Appetizers and dessert was excellent. Service was attentive. Crowded and very noisy as we sat at a table adjacent to the bar. It's tight in there, but this is New Orleans dining.
Jasmine our server was a great and attentive. The food was good and filling. Great place!
Fabulous food and service. The shrimp and grits was some of the most outstanding food I’ve ever had!
Luke was terrific. The food was excellent. The wait staff was informative, friendly, and attentive. Great experience. Will definitely go back.
Our servers were excellent, attentive and gave great recommendations! The food was superb! Will definitely recommend to anyone going to visit NOLA.
We got there 10 minutes before Happy Hour ended and the server waa kind enough to remind us to get our orders in before it ended. Got a dozen oysters for $1 each and also entrees that left us satisfied, happy, and stuffed! Schnitzel and gumo were great amd we were well attended.
We had shrimp and grits and they were phenomenal. We also had raw oysters, bbq oysters and shrimp etouffee. All the food was wonderful and the service was great. Highly recommend this restaurant
Great restaurant, a staple of downtown New Orleans
It was my anniversary, my first wedding anniversary but it was also the Marine Corps birthday! My bad!
But they made my husband the guest of honor because he showed up in his full mess dress uniform.
We always have a wonderful time at Luke. The food is always superior to anything else in town. Every time.
I have probably eaten there 30 to 40 times and I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad experience.
Truthfully we are huge John Besh fans, all his restaurants are amazing.
Oysters for $1 ea! Yay. Best fries ever. Loved the little bonus tastings the servers brought around. Will be dining here again soon.
Luke salad with chicken added was delicious!
Service, however, was lacking. Didn’t see our waiter after food was delivered and we had to ask two different staff members for the check.
The food was fantastic and the service was great. The waiter made excellent recommendations!!!
Wasn't impressed with the P&J oysters. I've had dozens down here that were better. Shrimp and grits were on point.
I ordered shrimp etoufee for dinner taste was OK but portion size was small lunch at best and it was barely warm. My wife ordered the swordfish, which had a nice portion size was tasty but under cooked almost raw in parts.
Luke's still holding-serve seven days a week, including brunch, before, during, and soon to be after pandemic times! Sit at the bar if you are a party of one/two/three; burger excellent if you are not a seafood person.
Have been in NOLA frequently over the past two months for work. Have dined at LUKE three times. Each time LUKE has offered well-executed, consistent entrees, and the raw oysters have always been super fresh. Save room for the bread pudding or share it with a friend.
We had such a great time, the bar tenders made us feel right at home and the oyster were fantastic
Great as always
Second time visiting Luke and the food was so good.
Appetizer- Pate was delicious and different, Brussels - superb!
Dinner - My party and I split the Swordfish and the burger and WOW it was good.
Drinks - Pomegranate Cocktail - I had to have two because it was so tasty and refreshing.
All of our food was fresh and very delectable.
I will definitely eat here again!
Anniversary… Let restaurant know ahead of time and they never mentioned or offered a special anything.
Oysters were great. Cheese grits were great. Mussels were great. Gumbo wasn’t served hot, it was just barely over warm. Great value during happy hour.
My daughter and I took a chance on Luke and we were 100% happy with our choice! I had the best Croque Madame I've ever had; the French fries were hot, crisp, and soft on the inside. My daughter had the southern breakfast with hash browned potatoes, and she loved every bite. The service was friendly and prompt. The ambience was classic French Bistro and surprisingly quiet, despite the full restaurant.
