    This was my first time in years visiting Luke, and it was even better than I remembered. We had a large party (6), but at noon on a Saturday, we were able to make a reservation through OpenTable for a seating at 12:15PM! We ordered an oyster flight (one of each variety for each diner) and enjoyed trying them all (7 different oysters each). We each had a scallop as well with Vietnamese fish sauce, and it was great. We had the escargot and bone marrow, leaving nothing on the bones-- which we brought home for the dogs! The Croque Madame was perfect, and big enough for two adults. The chicken and waffles were amazing and large enough to feed an adult and supplement the smaller meal of a very hungry child. We had two kids with us (boys, 8 and 9) and the kids' menu had plenty of options for them both. Our server treated us like royalty, taking the time to expertly describe every menu item about which we asked. The courses were delivered at the perfect cadence, never rushed and never too far behind the last. If I have any complaint, it's that the location can be tricky if you're not already parked in the New Orleans CBD. If you're near Poydras and St. Charles anyway (as we were for the Titanic Exhibit), it's definitely worth the walk. I almost regret that we moved to our current home a few hours away, because we really want to try every single item on the menu, making our decisions difficult. Alas, given the impeccable quality and service at Luke, that's a very good problem to have.

    This is fantastic New Orleans cuisine! Honestly my new favorite place. And the interior has been lovingly preserved, so the ambience is also excellent.

    The service was excellent. Just the right amount of attention. The timing of the food service was spot on. Our waiter, Paul, was expert at his job. Thank you very much, Paul! Food was flavorful. The restaurant is not very big, and there was good energy in the restaurant.

    the ambience and the service were on point - but the food just wasn’t warm enough. we were so excited about the duck breast and it was so chewy and filled with fat that no one us ate it. the other meals had a great taste though! it was just the temperature.

    Kicked my feet the whole time it was really awesome in every way. I swear the deer head mounted above the bar and I sweet talked all night, he’s a real great guy with a lot of stories. Happy Memorial Day to that deer. Also Luke rocks. And Julian too.

    I have gone to Luke's multiple times and always had a great experience. This time was a little different. It took over an hour for our food to come out and when it did two of our dishes were burnt to the point of not being able to eat. Also, we had two waiters but it felt like they both thought the other one was doing the job. They didn't check on us as regularly as they should have. Overall the food was good (once our replacement dishes came out) but I would have to give it a 5/10 for this time.
