This was the meal I was most looking forward to this weekend and it didn't disappoint. The flammenkuchen and swordfish were phenomenal.
Very nice, but noisy.
My Favorite place. Always perfect. Will return many more times.
As always, Sunday brunch at Luke is perfect. It is the most civilized and charming place. We love it and will continue our tradition of Sunday’s at Luke.
Very much enjoyed it !!
Great flavor but unfortunately the Schnitzel was a little over done. Otherwise everything was great.
Service was a little off. Table next to us that was seated after were ordered and got their food before we were even waited in by same server. Mussels were cold, salad was a little haphazard and French fries were cold. Very disappointing.
Awesome lunch. Food was outstanding. Waiter was great. Drinks were on point. (Could have had a few more wine choices to be honest). But overall was amazing!!! Shrimp and Grits were some of the best. Brussels we’re amazing.
Went there before a Saints game. Restaurant was very noisy, as expected. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I eat the fried oyster salad on most every visit. It did not disappoint. The raw oysters were plump and juicy. Very nice!
They made the fried chicken sandwich for me at dinner! Guess it’s only on the brunch/lunch menu. Very accommodating! Appreciated it.
Consistently great New Orleans cuisine, extra value during 3-6pm happy hour. Outstanding raw oysters and gumbo. One of the city’s best French 75 cocktails.
great food and a very friendly environment to hold a casual work lunch.
Arrived a few minutes early for the reservation. There was a huge group of people waiting in a small reception area. It took 15 min to make it to the front desk. Once there we needed to wait another 10 min for a table. Once we sat down, service was super slow. I give them a pass due to being short staffed and the server was responsible for so many tables. Oysters were great. Wine list small but had a few good values. I would love to go back again. It is hoped the staff shortages will correct soon.
Would not go back. Service and servers were sloppy. Entree served not hot. Thank took back and brought it back 2 min later… French fries re-fried and mussels were maybe microwaved…
It was not a pleasant experience.
We will definitely be back! The food was delicious, but the service.... the service was outstanding! With so many restaurants being short-staffed these days, you can often feel the stress in the room. Not at Luke. Luke is not only well-staffed, everyone there is friendly and seems genuinely happy that patrons are there to dine. As for the food, we started with fried oysters. They were fresh and full of flavor. The must-have entree is the swordfish with seasonal squash and sage oil. Perfection! *kisses fingertips and exclaims "Muah!"* We enjoyed the whole dining experience and look forward to going back.
Edwina was an awesome server! Luke is lucky to have her…service was excellent and we will return. Food was great - had gumbo and fried oysters..excellent experience overall
Hi Mish P , We are so pleased that you enjoyed your recent experience at Luke. Very glad that you enjoyed our very tasty "Fried Oysters". Thank you for choosing us and we hope to see you again very soon!
We had a great meal… It took a while to get a drink at the bar do to the fact they only had one bar person… however once sat down we had great services… good food selections, not too many and good wine selections… we will be back!
Great waitstaff and food every time.
The food and service were really good. Limited menu but everything done well. The noise level was very high when the restaurant was full. Definitely not the place for a romantic date night. Definitely, a place to go and enjoy really good food.
I picked this place because of the blue crab omelette on the menu BUT, blue crab is out of season so it wasn't available. I had to settle for shrimp. My oyster salad was delicious.
Brunch at Lukes was delicious! We enjoyed our mimosas to begin with and shared the warm and sweet cinnamon roll! YUM! The matzo ball soup was amazing! The fried oyster salad was the perfect size for brunch - the oysters were fried to a nice tenderness. The croque madame (with the fried egg) was delicious and a large portion for my husband to enjoy!
Luke never disappoints. Great food in a wonderful setting reminiscent of a French bistro.
Food was great! The burger, Brussels Sprouts, oysters and drinks were good. Our go to: the French 75, silver saint, raw oysters and the Luke Burger. Sit in Gary’s section. He always takes good care of us.
Bbq oysters were excellent! And the best jumbo shrimp cheese and grits I've ever tried! And got to try french 75 as well. Really good!
Service was good, food was flavorless
We chose Luke for Thanksgiving dinner. Our reservation was for 2:30 pm, and we were seated on time. Our waiter was friendly and provided good service initially. When the food arrived, however, it was barely warm, let alone hot. Not sure whether the problem was with the kitchen or whether the waiter wasn't on top of things. We sent the food back, and it came back somewhat warmer but still less than optimum temperature. The main dishes (turducken and pork shank) were good, but a couple of the sides were so-so, especially the dressing/stuffing. We chose the poached pear for dessert, and it was okay but the pear didn't seem to be ripe. During the latter part of our meal, the waiter wasn't as attentive, and we had to flag down another server at one point. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed with the experience.
"Hi, Carol S, We are so sorry that your experience here at Luke, was not up to our standards. We would really like the opportunity to discuss this with you further. Could you please email our General Manager, Mr.Robert Breaux at rbreaux@lukeneworleans with the date that you dined with us? Please also provide any other pertinent information that you feel will be helpful. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we can improve."
Great food and service. Good place for celebrating special occasions.
Rabbit chicken liver pate was outstanding. moules frites also very good but a bit on the spicy side. staff very overworked and next to impossible to get their attention if you needed something
Thank you to our awesome waiters, Devon & Julian! Great food and great atmosphere.
Food very well executed. Great service. Shrimp and grits outstanding.
Food was basic but not exciting. Expectations from reviews made it a disappointment but it was okay.
Excellent fresh seafood, with strong drinks. Very good service
Great food and service.
most delicious meal on our trip- Generous portions. Prepared to perfection. Great service. Wonderful ambiance. Outstanding oysters! Crispy Brussel sprouts to die for.
An off night. Very busy. Food was good.
Been there before. Looks like it’s mostly geared for tourists. Food was ok, not great. Service was spotty.
The usual French bread was hard and cold. They could do a better job with that. My fish was ok but nothing special. Swordfish only choice in New Orleans?? Really, with all the gulf fish available
I am always so happy to eat those raw scallops!
Best burger ever! Loved the salad and winter veggies. Great location. Lights were a bit bright for evening.
The oyster happy hour is fantastic. Wonderful P&J oysters! Homemade horseradish. Wine list (captains list) is reasonably priced and has everything our group wanted. Servers were professional and fun. It’s a bustling, somewhat noisy place- but a great time on every level.
