Lady night out on vacation
It’s good for all occasions. Great New Orleans food and drink, and classic decor.
Service slow. Had to flag waiter down to get another drink.
Food came cold. Sent back and cane back barely warm.
Waiter didn’t write down orders so my daughters burger came out wrong.
Will not b returning
The food is very authentic, great taste of Cajun cuisine ! Happy hour was truly happy with the the signature Gentily Gin cocktail. My wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits while I had the best drum I’ve ever eaten! Not to mention the amazing tuna tartare!
Service was slow, selections were poor, food was awful. The first bad meal I have ever had in New Orleans
Pictures do not do this restaurant any justice. If I ever return to New Orleans, this restaurant will be on my list to revisit. Food was great from the beginning which was the fried oysters all the way to dessert. Oysters were never a dish I particularly liked but this restaurant changed my mind. Restaurant decor was truly pleasant to sit in. Richard was excellent with recommendations. We absolutely loved him. He is a true jewel to Luke. It's all about memories and this is one I will never forget.
Casual, friendly atmosphere. Excellent food, well prepared and presented. I will definitely return.
Their food selection could have been more diverse. Not all the flavors came together as expected in a dish.
Luke’s was a fabulous cuisine experience! We had shrimp and grits, pork schnitzel, and grilled tuna. Our Crispy Brussel Sprout appetizer with bacon was divine!
Our servers, Matt, Jesse, and Ronald were wonderful - just the right level of attentiveness mixed with great senses of humor.
Tonya, the front end Manager on duty, was so gracious and welcoming! She and her crew helped make our first time visit to Luke’s so special!
Thanks to all, Leslie, Laura, and Mary Helen from NC!
Amazing meal! Great atmosphere too! Blue crab sub gratin! Absolutely amazing! Great
My first time at Luke. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious!
Fantastic food! The firing times could use some work. We had four dishes at our table at once and they forgot my salad. But I dont care! The flavors were amazing and worth all the hype. I also bought two signed cookbooks. Cant wait to read them.
We had the boudin balls, crab bisque, pate, etouffee, schnitzel, torte, and sorbet. I would eat everything but the boudin balls again. They were GREAT according to my companion but not my cup of tea.
I could eat the pate for dinner, unctuous, and the accoutrements were exceptional and generous. I particularly enjoyed the pepper jelly while my companion liked the two mustards. The schnitzel sauce was the star of a perfectly prepared juicy pork cutlet. My etouffee sauce left me wishing I could lick the bowl. Bring friends so you can sample a variety of these dishes. Be adventurous. Try something you've never had before. The way chef john insists on perfection init will be the one of the best whatever you ordered. This was the final culinary stop on a tour of new Orleans that included Emeril's flagship, Paul's flagship and John Besh's Luke's. John and Emeril are close 1 and 2 I would skip K Paul's. The management there is really poor right now. Several years ago I would reccomend. But the food, not well cooked, service staff not trained. Spend your mo eye with John and Emeril they are worth the short drive from the french quarter.
Our wait staff was awesome—made some great suggestions for menu and drink options. Had good sense of humor and quick to be witty
I thought this was a fancy french restaurant. I've seen this restaurant with very high ratings on Open Table. Much to my dismay when we walked in there were people in shorts. Lots of kids. There was some confusion and then they led us to the back of the restaurant. It was quiet and the patrons were dressed a little better. The service was very good and the food was delicious. While it was creole french and not parisian french, it was still very good. And I liked the menu selections.
Food was great except for the schnitzel which was very dry. My friend hardly touched it. We let them know about it and they gave us extra dessert (to go, since we already have dessert included in the prix fixe menu). I think they should have just comped us the meal instead because it was hardly touched.
Great service and food! Happy hour is the best!
Luke’s is the perfect French/NOLA restaurant that I compare others to. If others cost more and are not as good as Luke’s, I won’t be going back.
National Oyster Day was a bust.
Being from NOLA, I know our oysters. The ones we were served were a joke. I hope this wasn't a representation of PJ's. Bad!!
Excellent food. Love the pate
Great food, great service, like d the buzz in the air. Will go back again.
Normally my fav place to eat but tonight it was not as good. Having an off night I guess.
My fiancée has been telling me we have to try Luke’s so we did. We waited awhile before a server came to greet us. Then we ordered waited a while for our entrees after appetizers which did come at a moderate time. I ordered Tuna and was under the assumption it would not be rare and was not asked. While waiting we assume a manager came to the table and asked if we needed the check and not even had eaten our enter yet. We felt he was rushing us to free up a table. The tuna came rare and had to go back to the kitchen. My fiancée finished his before mine had come back. He said sorry you were the only table I did not ask how to be cooked. The a table was seated next to us he filled their drinks but my fiancée needed more drink and he did not ask. When the dessert finally came we asked for bill with it because everything was just dragged out. It was a disappointment better to try Borgnes instead.
Great food but noisy. Great deal in August w “coolinary” menu. Soft shell crab and schnitzel.
Great food & service! However, not sure I will be going back because the noise level was extremely loud! It was horrible… Had to yell at the person next to me just so they can hear me.
We had an early dinner with another family for “White Linen Night”. Everything was great. We always enjoy eating at Luke! It’s one of our favorites.
After reading reviews and cautiously reserving a brunch for a pre-wedding reconnect with friends I became super impressed as our meal went on. Jesse was our server and he was fantastic!! Our party wasn’t all together but we were allowed to be seated and even order out of time with the later people in our party. I am currently looking at going back tomorrow it was so good!
Not what I expected. I was told this was a fine dining establishment and made arrangements accordingly for an anniversary dinner. This is NOT fine dining, but an upbeat, casual bar atmosphere with dining tables. I was disappointed with my expectations but the food and service were very good for a casual brunch, lunch, or dinner. Blue Crab Gratin and Fried Boudin were tasty.
Food was good but kitchen was soooo slow. They also gave our slfood to the wrong table which made things worse. Many better places to spend your money in NOLA.
Great happy hour and phenomenal food and drinks. Always my go to!
Out waiter Richie Rich is awesome
Good food and service! Brussels sprout app were terrific, as well as the puppy drum!
Loved it! Stuffed oysters were AMAZING. fun drink menu. Highly recommend!
Best service! Best drinks! Best atmosphere. Luke is an obvious choice to celebrate in New Orleans!
Comforting old-New Orléans atmosphere, with tile floors and dark wood. I was happy that they rescued the ingenious ceiling fans from the old Kolb’s restaurant, but I wish they had actually hooked them up and made them work. Food was variable: my roasted beet salad was the best I’v ever had; my soft shell crab was greasy; the crispy rice was an interesting innovation but not one that I would want again. My husband ordered the matzo ball soup which came in a lovely broth but the dumpling was heavy; his roasted chicken was just right to me but he found it too salty; the potatoes accompanying it were delicious. The kitchen’s timing could have been better: our entrees arrived while I was still eating my salad. Service was charming and knowledgeable. We asked to take our leftovers & they were exquisitely wrapped.
This is our favorite restaurant in New Orleans! We are never disappointed!! Awesome time and the food and service is outstanding!!
We always visit Luke when we are in town. The food is always delicious and the waiters are so warm and genuine. This visit didn’t disappoint.
Great burger..one of the best! Atmosphere is awesome..date night, relaxing, etc. Our waiters Kevin & Gary were awesome, great people and very attentive...ask for them
Absolute incredible place to eat with some amazing dishes. The location is perfect and the ambiance is steeped in history. I highly recommend Luke.
Service was slow in the beginning. Took about 20 min to get my drink but got better through out the meal.
Our afternoon at Luke for Oyster happy hour became 4 hours! We decided to eat at the bar and it was a great decision. We had French 75 cocktails and one became two became 3 etc. The bar tender was a great young lady who was just ... well great. We will be regulars from now on.
