If you haven't been you need to go! Small menu well executed and great service. Food is fresh and beautifully presented with thoughtful combinations of sides and mains. Bring your own wine is a bonus. Wonderful ambience,
Not too loud. Outdoor patio. What more do you want? The duck and hangar steak are amazing--
We had dined there a few years ago and could not remember the name. Reading an article about BYOB restaurants in Houston recently, I found it again. My wife and I brought a very nice bottle of wine for our dinner and the corkage fee of only $8 was great. We enjoyed our appetizers, the main courses were to die for and dessert was outstanding. Adding top notch service was icing on the cake. We will not forget the name in the future and will definitely be back.
Absolutely the best BYOB in Houston. Irina gives wonderful service and the kitchen is solidly consistently great!
Irena is a freshness needed in the dining room. She is very well versed in culinary arts and presents the menu options in delectable detail that is accurate to the cooking methods of the menu choices. Irena is a professional that compliments the food quality, choices and ambience of Lucio’s!
As always, the food was fantastic, as well as the service. Attentive, but not smothering. One of my favorites.
Well crafted food very consistent nothing too fancy tremendous value considering one of the few places left to bring your own wine. We love to come regularly
I really like this small restaurant off the beaten track in Houston. The atmosphere is a little dark but
tolerable. The food is solid. The chef does not try to get too cute with his preparations and the food is presented in a sensible manner. I thoroughly enjoyed my rack of lamb which was ample and cooked to my request. My wife enjoyed her duck breast which in her experience is always a hit or miss proposition with a lot of restaurants. No problems here.
Of course, the big draw is the BYOB option. the staff is excellent at setting you up with glasses and coolers for your wine. Furthermore, they are willing to let you take your time before ordering to enjoy your wine.
There are better restaurants for food in Houston but the overall experience at Lucio's is a cut above most of the others. I highly recommend Lucio's.
Loved this restaurant and the service we received from George. The food was excellent and all the recommendations George made for dishes were exceptional. We enjoyed every dish we had!
We will definitely return and bring friends along. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Montrose.
Food is always dependable, fresh, and tasty. Desserts are a real speciality. One of the best BYOB restaurants in town.
Service was outstanding. The chef accommodated our need for a vegan meal and prepared a vegan risotto. We'll be back!
Exquisite smoked salmon and the risotto with scallops are worth a visit. Food is paired with excellent service. This is a long standing establishment where there is a continued search for new dishes with interesting flavors.
This is one of my favorite dinner spots.... I love that my favorite wines from my cellar are welcome here and the food is some of the best in the city! Great service and impeccable quality.
Great food and experience overall. A solid place to bring that special bottle of wine as well.
This is a lovely place, with a romantic atmosphere. Our meal was good, and our waiter, Steve, was excellent. I love the fact that I can take my own wine. Lucio's is good for date night or dinner with friends.
Great night celebrating an anniversary and a friend having knee surgery on Monday.
thankful there were enough servings of the tuna!!
quiet evening. just very nice. enjoy this place alot.
Food and service was amazing as always. Best steaks in town.
Friendly and attentive staff. Great food! Wine friendly. We’re from another state, visited twice this trip and enjoyed everything we had. Carpaccio, butternut squash soup, butternut squash risotto, bread, skirt steak, ahi, walnut/goat cheese salad and house salad...all great!
Best kept secret in Houston (let's keep it that way :-)). Stevie and the food were amazing. Love the whole BYOB thing.
Would definitely recommend Lucio's BYOB to a friend!
Probably the best BYOB in Houston. Food is always well made and service very good. Excellent value
Lucio’s is consistently great! The food, the service & BYOB. It can’t be beat. Lucio’s never disappoints!!
Terrific experience. Food was perfect. The ability to take an expensive bottle of wine to a lovely restaurant and not have to pay a 3x markup is fantastic. Thank you Lucio’s!
Very nice menu selections. It is diverse enough that anyone can find something they will like. The food comes out quickly. It is quiet enough to carry on conversations without having to shout. Overall a very good restaurant.
Great smaller neighborhood gem with great service (Steve) and fantastic food! The presentation was also great and we all enjoyed the smaller venue as it was great for conversation. If you want to have a great dinner in an unpretentious setting, this is a great find!
Lucio’s is always outstanding!
Wonderful as always! Thank you Stephen and Michael for making our evening perfect!
Always enjoy an evening at Lucio's- Brack was very accommodating and my guests loved the food!
Great service and food/wine. Lucio’s is consistently a great choice for us.
This is a "go to" place for one of our major customers. Food is always delicious and staff is great. A big thanks to Steven who made dinner quite memorable.
As a frequent diner at this wonderful restaurant, it is always a treat when I can introduce friends to it for the first time. The only problem is when they cross-examine me as to why I haven't told them sooner! I can live with that! I know they will be back .... over and over ... like I am!
Very good on all points. Hangar steak was perfectly cooked and was very tender. Carpaccio was well presented and seasoned. The duck breast was large and served with wilted spinach cooked to medium rare. Dessert was the brownie which we topped with extra vanilla. A nice end to the meal. And the best part is you get to bring your own wine. We will be returning.
Simple, off the beaten path restaurant with good service, great food. Highly recommended.
Great service by our waiter, Steve, and food was excellent!!
Awesome as usual!! We'll be back real soon! Thanks.
We have eaten at Lucio's many times and have never been disappointed. The service is personal and excellent, not rushed. The food is always outstanding.
First off, we dined here on a Monday night. We had made reservations for 8 but it was not really necessary, the restaurant was not even half full, so not quite the ambiance we had hoped for. The service and the food was excellent. The BYOB was confusing to my son who brought a rolling cooler with ice and beer (lol!). The rest of us brought wine bottles that were charged an 8 USD corkage fee. Although the food was excellent, we had tuna, scallops, file mignon, chicken, and duck, we were misled by the $$ price rating on OpenTable. All the entrees were $30-40 each, there were hardly any entrees under $30. Having said this, we did spend more than we wanted to and the servings were small. Even though we shared some appetizers (carpaccio and calamari) we were all hungry when we got back home. :( The restaurant did have complementary valet, which is nice. However, I did not see the patio.
Literally my favorite dinner in the city. Small menu that never gets old. ByoW is clutch! Stephen does a great job of making you feel taken care of.
We went on a Monday evening for our Anniversary so the restaurant was very quiet. Food and service was excellent. We will go back again and try on a busier evening to really get the full ambiance.
