Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca is heartwarming and satisfying from the wood-fired pizzas to the hand-rolled pastas to the perfectly seared proteins. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.

We were greeted with glasses of bubbles which was nice after a long day. Our waiter was great Started with carpaccio along with the homemade bread and lardo I had the scallops and hubs had the chicken parm then tiramisu for dessert. It was all delicious but I'll add a couple comments. The burrata had melted out of the chicken so was hard to find. The duck fat potato's for the scallops were in a broth, so unrecognizable. The tiramisu had no flavor of booze or coffee, just sweet.would not get that one again. We had a great delicious relaxing evening out,well needed

Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine and helped with selection. The food was very good and creative. Luca provides a unique and different experience. The chef has interesting twists on typical items, such as the shaved brussels sprout Caesar salad. We enjoyed the chicken parm with burrata, wild mushroom fusilli, scallops, arancini and meatballs.

Best meal we have had in Denver in quite a while. Our wait person, Gaby, went beyond expectation. Dinner was perfectly paced, the dining room intimate and warm. Delicious!

Luca was absolutely wonderful! Our server, Gabby, was very helpful with wine selection and putting together a perfect four course meal. The burrata was amazing! Best we’ve ever had, and the carpaccio was so fresh with the mint and cucumbers. Definitely will be back!

Food and service was excellent. We went for their Chef’s Special on food and wine. Definitely pricey but well done. Patio very nice. Did a nice job acknowledging my daughter’s something another local Italian restaurant failed to do recently. I would definitely recommend
