Luvvies looking for a top pre-theatre curry near Victoria need look no further. Lovage is a bright and buzzy Indian restaurant on Wilton Road that has an excellent menu and a fun vibe, making it the perfect spot for group dining, family nights out, and tables for two. The restaurant has white walls decorated with splashes of colour, and the suited waiting staff are helpful and attentive. Lovage's menu includes all of your favourites as well as some house specialties, and we love the special Kufta Masala – a homely dish made with spicy meatballs; the spicy and creamy Rezala lamb curry; and the Tandoori trout marinated in light spices and baked in charcoal served with salad.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Lovage on Valentine's Day and the food was fantastic, some of the best Indian food we've ever had. The service was fantastic for friendliness and efficiency. The music was also lovely and very relaxing, without being too loud or overbearing. I highly recommend eating at Lovage.

A good local 'Indian'. They looked after us well, including catering for a fussy vegetarian (her description, not mine!) and service was prompt.

Booked for a staff night out, everything went smoothly. Food was nice, waiters were prompt and pleasant, prices were reasonable.

Butter chicken was lovely, rice was great. Disappointing cheese naan that didn’t seem to have cheese. Place was quiet which is good for me. 4/5

Dined at New Jomuna as found as a nearby restaurant on Open Table. Food and service really good. A bit of updating required in the cloakroom/lavatory area but overall a nice meal. I would dine again.

Overall a decent dining experience. Portions are good size and staff happy to let you take home left overs. However a couple of issues to note 1) flush in women's toilet needs fixing and 2) waiters should not show their displeasure when paying as tip can sometimes be left in cash and not on credit card
