   Well, we got a last minute Reso for 4 on a Saturday night in kanapaali so that in and of itself is a red flag. Nice people and good service. Great location. The food quality was very poor especially for the price. Everyone was let down w their dish, we went back to hotel and ordered room service.

   Our server Storm was fabulous! We skipped appetizers to make room for carrot cake and a side of the Maui made vanilla ice cream! I had the macadamia crusted fish. The sauce was delicious and light. My husband loved his steak and mashed potatoes. The view was spectacular for sunset. We booked an hour prior amd we just got lucky! This was a short 5-8 minute walk from the Westin nearby.

   Beautiful outdoor seating. Mia provided fabulous service. Food was delicious. We really enjoy our meal here.

   Quiet, beachside location. Our server, Robin was amazing. Longhi’s Fish in lemon sauce was fabulous. Also, the Ahi Carpaccio was so fresh, tender & delicious

   A hidden gem, that’s out in the open. Our server, Jade was excellent. Good variety of food. Some tasty Italian dishes. We already made a second reservation here.

   The macadamia crusted fish Island style was a generous portion and prepared expertly. Came with purple Maui smashed sweet potatoes. The view of the sunset was great and the sound of the surf was the perfect combination. The server Robin was excellent. Compared to a few of the other restaurants near this location the fish here was the best! Also for consideration is the fresh baked macadamia pie served warm with vanilla ice cream. Had this dessert a couple of times over our stay.

   I would not recommend eating at Longhi's unless you had no other options. The quality of the food is below par and the prices are comparable to much better restaurants in Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua. Service was good (but it wasn't busy) and the oceanfront setting is beautiful, especially for sunset. But, let's face it, when spending Hawai'i prices you want better quality food. We had two kids meals -penne & cheese & NY strip. The fries were cold and the steak was very tough (had to pay up for steak choice). The cheese sauce was so salty it burned your mouth. Chicken Marsala was over cooked (dry & tough) and the dates tasted like it was canned (no exaggeration!!). For a restaurant that promotes itself as Italian it barely resembled Marsala except it had mushrooms. Two people got ahi tuna that was the worst I've ever seen or tasted in 30 years of coming to Hawai'ian Islands. Save yourself and don't go to Longhi's. It would have been better if we just got Marriott burgers at the pool restaurant !!
