The ambiance was nice, the food did not taste like authentic Italian, it was almost like generic style dishes lacking in flavor and quality, very basic food. Bummer because the location is awesome. Hopefully it will improve.

Have been here about 10 times now ...food is superb. Fabulous service; you'll be treated well here. The music of Al Martino, Jerry Vale, Deano and Frank serves as a romantic backdrop.

I would have to say that this is my 2nd favorite Italian restaurant in the Palm Springs Area and that is saying a lot. From their basic's Linguini with meatballs and their meatballs are light and flavorful to their Lasagna which is among the best I've had anywhere. Their seafood dishes are always fresh and that's not easy being in the desert. Anyway, this place is a gem.

Cute little restaurant. 4 of us dined inside, table cloth and ambiance was nicer than expected. Too small for a boisterous evening, though patio would better lend itself to festivity. Excellent service, tasty menu, reasonable priced, especially on limited but decent wine offerings. Exceptional desserts! Calimari apt was also a star. Would recommend for an intimate couple(s) evening. Not over the top expensive for a nice, quiet, relaxing meal.

A pleasant surprise. The food was very good and so was the service. If you’re in the mood for Italian food, I highly recommend L’Olivo.

Well.. this place was fine. Nothing too special, I had risotto, my husband had "the special" which was basically cioppino with white wine sauce. The complaint about that, he didn't finish it, we took it back up our hotel room and THEY PUT the LIQUID in a normal container! SO IT SPILLED everywhere.. fish smell.. all over the place.. come on guys first time packing to gos? The risotto was good, not great, and we had $8.00.. yes 8!!! For one scoop of spumoni "gelato" oh... and they don't have decaf coffee, I've never in my life been yo a restaurant that didn't have decaf but.. first time for everything. So all in all $88.00 plus tip for 4 pieces of shrimp and 1/2 a pasta dish that had to be thrown out. :( Pros: quiet place we were literally the only customers. They have gluten free options- I told our server I was gluten free... every single thing he suggested wasn't gluten free. That's ok it's my allergy not his. One free glass of proseco when you check in on yelp. Cons: for the price eh.. not sure it was worth it.. 32 for the "special" and because it leaked everywhere we had to throw it out. Food was nothing special and 25... for 4 pieces of shrimp.. :-/ come on now. Oh well Happy baby moon to us

My kids wanted pizza and pasta, so I started looking at nearby restaurants in Palm Springs. We have a lot of Italian friends and know what authentic Italian food tastes like. This is what we were seeking. I read various Yelp reviews for a number of places, and L’Olivo had consistently positive reviews. It was handy I could make a reservation using Open Table. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. The restaurant is airy, and the tables are not too close together. The staff is mostly Italian. My daughter devoured the bread and got more! The house sparkling wine was reasonably priced and tasty. My girls ordered their pizza and pasta (gnocchi in pesto), and we adults had the pollo calabrese and lobster ravioli with minestrone and Caesar salad to start. Every bite was delicious. The service was outstanding—attentive without hovering. We ordered the tiramisù for dessert. It was scrumptious. When we received the check, we also got a small plate with a biscotti for each of us. It was by far the best biscotti I’ve ever had: flavourful and not too dry/hard. I highly recommend L’Olivo.
