The food was all delicious and the wait staff was so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our meal and wine. And we chatted with the people at the next table and traded food info. To top it off, we had the most delightful dessert and cappuccinos.

Another fantastic meal at this legendary establishment. My wife started off with mushroom soup which she said was amazing That was followed by wild boar which was amazing. I had the eggplant to start which is still the best ever. That was followed by 1/2 lobster with spaghetti in a light red sauce. FANTASTIC. As always, the service provided by Massimo was excellent. Heading back next week for more.

After three days, just had to go back for more. This time I ordered a Chianti Reserve. Massimo recommended the octopus carpaccio. First time have this here. Great idea. Taste was amazing. Then for the main tonight, I had a half lobster out of the shell with home made pasta. Cooked to perfection Sauce was like home made. One of the best meals I have had here…….and I have had many. Will return Wednesday with my wife.

Returned after a 3 day absence. Started this time with grilled calamari. Was extremely tasty with the right amount of space. For the main, I went to my “go to” fettuccine with sea urchin, cream fraiche and a touch of caviar. Absolutely amazing. The host and server Massimo were amazing. It’s like being at home with family. Can’t wait to go back

What can I say. Another amazing meal at Locanda. Eggplant appetizer was fabulous. Main course was Chilean Sea Bass on a bed of lentils. Absolutely spectacular. All this accompanied by a recommended bottle of Brunello which was amazing. Can’t wait to return next week.

I have been going to Locanda Veneta since the 1990s. I have always considered it to be amongst the top Italian restaurants in LA offering authentic Italian cuisine. However, my experience on Valentine's Dinner yesterday was disappointing to say the least. First, they have a poor exhaust system which left the patrons exposed to obnoxious smoke/fumes (I ended up with a sore throat). Second, they misplaced my partner's main course (she had ordered ribeye steak, but they brought a different steak). They finally got the order right but the taste was not good (perhaps they rushed the cooking). Third, my main course of pasta with lobster was below par (pasta was overcooked and the sauce had too much garlic leaving me with heartburn). At the price of over $300 for 2 people, one would expect a superior culinary experience. It was anything but! I am providing this constructive feedback in the hope that the owner/chef will heed it and strive to do better in the future. Thank you

Authentic menu and preparations. Delicious potato leek soup, homemade seafood pastas, chicken Parmesan and for dessert, the most stunning special pear tarte in the shape of a fish! Great to see the award winning chef overseeing the kitchen. We travel a lot to Europe and so enjoyed the dining experience because of the superb food and attentive service.

I attend a conference in LA every year and stay at the Sofitel. When I first found this little gem it was a memory to behold. Intimate, buzzing atmosphere. People relaxed and chatty. Staff very attentive, knowledgeable with a great wine list. And the food!!! This is what I love about restaurants like Locanda Venetta. Marco, Chef Andre and the entire staff treat you like family. I believe they have been open since 1988. When I returned in person after the COVID hiatus from my conference I was so glad to see they made it. I hesitate to share this find yet hope you hold it close to your culinary heart like I have. -buon appetito!

My husband and I treated our dear friends to a Friday evening at Locanda Veneta. We were celebrating the birthday of our friend. We had a truly lovely evening of fun, food, wine and laughter. The staff added to the celebration with their attentiveness. The food was truly exceptional. What a fabulous time! We will be back again and again to make more amazing memories.

Excellent everything!! The waiter provided exceptional service. He suggested that we try the soup of the day. It was artichoke soup that was dairy free and it was delicious. I also got the rigatoni and my husband got mussels and clams over penne pasta. He told the waiter that it was the best meal he had ever had in his life, and he’s eaten at a lot of great restaurants! Wow! So glad we revised this gem.

Love the place. On the New Years Eve it was mostly us and 2 other tables. The service was impeccable, and very attentive. Calamari sautéed were terrific as an appetizer. Pasta was great too. The 4 stars come as the Bransino and the boar chops were over grilled and not moist enough

My experience at Locanda Veneta was unforgettable. The meals are prepared with passion by Chef Andre. He comes out to serve the food which makes it feel so hospitable and warming. He has been honored as one of the country’s top culinary talents in the inaugural edition of Best Chefs America. For appetizer we had the Fagottini Melanzane which is an eggplant roll stuffed mozzarella, fresh basil and their delicious famous tomato sauce. For our entrees we ordered these specials which were out of this world - Ravioli Tartufo, insane! and Pappardelle with wild boar. This has to be one of the best ravioli’s I’ve eaten to date and I have traveled to Italy several times before. They ensured to lavish the ravioli in luxurious butter sauce, peppered with flecks of precious black truffle for decadence. The truffle and butter lends both an enticing gloss and an exceptional and distinct aroma to the dish. The pappardelle with wild boar was perfectly al dente and the meat sauce was rich and flavorful. For dessert we had the panna cotta and ricotta cheesecake. Panna cotta is a traditional Italian dessert which translates as cooked cream. Literally exactly what it means but so much more self gratifying. It was creamy, yet dense and thick yet silky and smooth. Just sweet enough with a hint of vanilla bean. It is paired with raspberries, raspberry sauce, vanilla and whipped cream. This was honestly the best I’ve ever eaten. You must try this! The ricotta cheesecake was delicious but you just like blueberries very much as it lays on top of a puddle of blueberry sauce. I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or just a casual outing. No need to dress to impress, just be ready to eat one of the most delicious meals you’ve had in a long time…

I have always wanted to try Locanda Veneta. My husband and I were welcomed to a table in a corner upon arrival. The restaurant was moderately busy. We did not see a soul for over 20 minutes, others then a glass of water. We contemplated leaving. Our server seemed to be the manager. He apologized and comped our wine and beer. But after that the service did not improve. I had lasagna, which was not at all tasty. It was in a cassarole dish all smashed together without any of the usual distinctive layers. My husband had a steak pasta which was mediocre. The dessert, which we did not have looked great. We wouldn't come back because of both the service and the food.
