Great local spot we just discovered. Looking forward to going back to try more on their menu.
Little Onion is a Sandpointe neighborhood gem! So glad they are back to their former quality. Due to COVID-19 there were few guests. We had a cozy corner booth and felt safe. We were able to linger and catch up in the usually bustling atmosphere. We tipped generously for their kindness!
Always great food and service
Total bummer that Little Onion has changed their menu and it is not an improvement so that will be my last visit after 20 years of lunches.
Nice food as usual
Place was cute. Food was great. Service could have been a little faster but overall would go back. Great Margaritas!!!!!
We've been going here for 30 some odd years. The food has always been good, but the last few years it's become excellent. Great happy hour deals. Tried the Margarita Lime Pie for dessert for the first time. Delish.
Birthday and Mothers Day. Service was very good.
Close to work. Taking a visiting coworker out. We enjoyed it. Service was average. Food and drinks were good.
First visit to The Little Onion. I didn't realize that it started 40years ago. The food was Delicious. The best I've ever had. I had a Chili Relleno with rice and beans. Absolutely Delicious. Excellent pico de gallo too. Great margarita. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.
Nice cozy atmosphere, good food, sit in back under the balcony if you want a place to talk because the restaurant can be loud when busy.
We keep trying Mexican restaurants closer to home trying to find one that compares to El Cholo. This one doesn’t even come close. The nachos were pretty good, but the enchilada and burrito were tasteless. Had to dump a whole bowl of salsa on there to find some flavor.
Still a little pricey. A Tostada for 15.00? I know it comes with rice and beans, but damn ya'll. :)
Julie and Miguel were outstanding!!
Great food and friendly atmosphere. And always fast so we can get back to the office in a timely manner at lunch time. One of my favorites!
If you want authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price this is the place. The Sunday brunch offerings are delicious as well.
We took friends from out of state here. Good food, service and friendly atmosphere.
The food was soo delicious and the service was fast. Our waitress had a beautiful smile and was attentive. A+ service with great food!
No parking, rundown restaurant, food was mediocre at best, & service was extremely slow or not present.
Food was delicious and had some kick to it! The meat in everything we had was so well flavored and wasn’t dried out which can tend to happen with some dishes at other Mexican restaurants. Server was nice and prompt with food and checking in with us. I’d be pleased to go back!!
Great food and always outstanding service!
Great food and incredible service! Bring your appetite! The portions are HUGE!!
I celebrated my birthday with my family and the seating on the loft was great. The food was delicious and everyone in my group was happy. The servers were great and very friendly. Thank you Little Onion Restaurant for making my birthday celebration memorable.
Family owned, quaint place... been around forever. Vet good, authentic mMexican food. Burritos are huge, very good salsa and fajitas are delicious.
The food was very “eh” to not very good. Overall it was bland and not worth the higher than average cost.
Very decent Mexican food. Busy place during lunch time. Menu has many options. Friendly service.
Based on my most recent experience, I probably will not go back again. My prior experience was better. But, this time the entire experience was disappointing. I really like carnitas and prior reviews about the carnitas was positive, so I tried them. It was over cooked and dry. Their margaritas were weak. Service was sporadic and she seemed to always be distracted with conversations she was holding with coworkers or a boy from a family in an adjacent booth. Never checked on my meal and took forever to get a check and pay the bill. The restaurant has older tables and facilities that show the wear of time. Long overdue for a facelift. I could easily overlook the surroundings if the food and service were better.
Made this reservation with instructions saying it was a surprise party that three people would be coming and then the rest would come, but again it was a surprise.
Very disappointed that these instructions were not read as the surprise was ruined. Management should go over reservations with employees before service.
Another person in the party made a later reservation, but even so, it should be treated as a separate party and not have interfered with this reservation as it was placed separate.
We appreciate eventually being set up correctly, but we feel like this was handled poorly.
But we always the the food and our server was great.
The Little Onion is great for lunch or dinner with friends. The food is moderately priced and the portions are large.
