Great as always!
Awful experience. Servers were rude and inattentive. Food was not even good for the ridiculous high prices. Horrible food, horrible service. We’re never coming back to this place, and will warn our friends and family.
Service and food are superb. Menu had something for everyone in our group.
Amazing food and service as always! Lidia's is a go to anytime I want some amazing food in KC
The pasta trio is phenomenal. We love how it changes and there is always something new. This is our favorite date night treat!
I was taking a friend out for his birthday and Jeremy Lamb, the manager, ended up waiting on us and making the experience extra-special. He picked out our excellent wine and was so friendly and nice.
Great Italian food. Service was exceptional and we got right in with our Open Table reservation. We had appetizers, Caesar salad and a beef menu item and was just the right amount. Even saved room for a dessert. Would recommend and will eat again when in KC.
Best Italian I have ever had. The pasta's were all incredible. The short ribs were OUTSTANDING!!! Great experience overall. Will make it a tradition on our trips to KC from now on.
The pasta trio was the best selection in some time. I really enjoyed it!
My Tom Collins drink wasn't really a collins. I drank it, but back to mixing school for the people in the bar. I'll stick to something much easier for future visits.
No free dessert for my wife'e birthday------------maybe you never did that.
Hi Howard, Sorry about the dessert but through the Covid crisis we've had to put a hold on all free promotions. I'm glad you enjoyed everything else and we hope to see you again sometime.
Food was amazing, loved the atmosphere. The only complaint o have is that the service was somewhat slow. I think the servers had more tables and kept them running around to give slower service.
I went to Lidia's as a date night, we made reservations in advance so we had no trouble being seated. We both wanted the pasta trio, which includes an unlimited amount of 3 pastas. There was a ravioli, spaghetti and a 3rd option in a meat and red sauce. The 3rd pasta tasted like it can from a can and the other two were good, but not great. Overall the value is good if you're looking for a lot of food.
As usual the service and food were well worth the visit. Maybe one day we will be there when Lidia shows up and I can tell her personally what great place it is. I would and have recommended it to family and friends.
I really love this place! I have never had a bad meal the waiters are professional and you feel they appreciate your business!
This is our second time to visit Lidia's one of the first restaurants we have visited during the pandemic. We never once felt unsafe as far as social distancing. The staff all wore face masks and treated us like we mattered. The food was terrific even the little kids in our group were happy. We are new the the KC area and Lidia's is one of our new go to place.
Although due to the virus, we were concerned about dining, out our fears were put to rest. The staff at Lidia’s all wore masks and they were practicing social distancing. We had a wonderful meal and the evening was memorable.
My girlfriend and I went to Lidia’s to make up for our cancelled prom, and it was the perfect way to make up for the special night! I would 10/10 recommend Lidia’s as a date night venue or really any type of fine dining. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and the whole restaurant itself was great. Thank you Lidia’s for a great night!
The food was excellent. Air conditioning not working. Waitress confirmed it. Hostess denied it and said it was working just fine. Our table switched to a large unoccupied room with unset tables. Four of us at a table for six. No silverware. Had to ask - twice. This restaurant should not have been open that evening. Or guests should have been forewarned. Times are tough - but misleading and dumping on guests is not the proper response. The one thing that was not overlooked was a large bill.
Terrible experience. The restaurant did not have air conditioning and failed to notify anyone with reservations, nor acknowledged it upon check in. The manager was disappointed in us for leaving after spending 10 minutes in the heat, and he made that very apparent. This lack of professional was unacceptable at such a nice restaurant. Will not visit again. Could have handled their HVAC issues with much more class.
No bread served with salad. Service was slow. Food was mediocre. Ravioli was way undercooked. Not al-dente, just not cooked. We were there for a birthday which I had told them about and no mention was ever made of the occasion. Overall dining experience was completely disappointing at a time when you would think restaurants would be trying to put a good foot forward to get business coming back.
Food was delicious, service was excellent. AC was out, so a bit warm, but didn’t disrupt dinner for us.
Absolutely Amazing dining experience id surely recommend it!
The food was amazing and our server was outstanding!!
A near perfect evening for patio dining, wonderful food and great service. What more can anyone ask for?
I always order the trio...my favorite dinner anywhere in town!!!
I ordered the Manicotti and it was served with three manicotti on a bed of red sauce. The manicotti had hard topping, as if the cheese was broiled to much so that it became too hard to cut with a fork. I had to use my knife to cut bite-sized pieces. It was very chewy.
My wife had the pork chop with apple chutney were delicious as was the spinach, but the fried polenta was very bland.
My daughter and I enjoyed our first night out at a restaurant since the quarantine
Terrible quality food - no taste or too salty - rude waiters never attentive, it was a party of 5 and an anniversary we were celebrating but no one was friendly or attentive - Complete terrible experience and ruined the anniversary dinner we were trying to celebrate
Surprise for a friend. They helped bring her in and were so kind to help us birthday surprise.
Great food, great atmosphere and fast service. Definitely going back.
Very pleased. Our server was thorough and attentive.
Impressive management of COVID-19 restrictions. Maintained atmosphere and quality, as usual.
It was our 12 year anniversary and we were seated at a nice quiet table. Food and service were wonderful! Also love that they always accommodate our meatless diet on the pasta trio.
been to Lydia's several times and always love the food and service but this time it was horrible with food and ok with service. I might stick to Jaspers only and by pass Lydia's
Excellent experience. Was only at half capacity but made for great ambiance.
We had a great experience celebrating our 10 year anniversary at Lidia’s restaurant. Our waiter was great and the place was very clean. I would love to come back again. Thank you for a good time
The food was amazing, our server was very attentive. We were celebrating a graduation so this was a special occassion.
The service was very below average and the food was not too bad, but I did not get something I thought I’d like. However, the service here was very poor and I didn’t even get his name.
Our family of four went June 5, 2020, while the Covid-19 pandemic was still going. We thought it would be a medium risk situation but it turned into high risk for us since the restaurant was not complying with social distancing or masking guidelines. They said masks were mandatory except while seated at your table and actually offered free masks at the door, but they didn't enforce the rule. Some customers were observed wandering around the restaurant and in the bathroom without masks. Our waitress took our order with her mask on her chin and her mouth and nose exposed. The food was excellent, as always, but I won't go back or recommend to a friend until the pandemic is over.
Everything was nice, first time we had been to a restaurant since early Feb5
