Lidia's features authentic, regional Italian cuisine. Every item at the restaurant is house-made entirely from scratch with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in-house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh.

Every day Lidia's offers a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas. We also feature many seafood, chicken, pork, and beef options. We are happy to accommodate your dietary needs including gluten-free items.

Lidia's is located in the historic Freighthouse-- a beautiful 19th century building. The stunning decor includes three hand-blown chandeliers, a three-story slate fireplace, and cozy, New York style seating.

Ordered the special pasta trio. The salad was perfect. The pasta was a big disappointment. There were three, as promised. One was undercooked, Al dente, but requiring a very strong tooth to get through it. The spaghetti was ok but not special. The same for the ravioli. These dishes seemed like cafeteria fare instead of an uptown restaurant. My problem is probably that my expectations were very high and the food just did not fill that promise. I have been a faithful patron of Lidia’s tv program for a long time and was sadly encountered with the reality when I final made it there. It is 90 miles from my home, so not an easy trip to eat out.

food is still excellent but our server was subpar by several measures bad luck of the draw, but that is how most places are these days, IMO.

Excellent as always! Lidia's has amazing food, amazing service and the atmosphere is so classy and elegant. Winning choice for special occasions or even just a lovely dinner with special people.

Our server was great! Ambiance was good, and the food was average. (Cesar was mostly the root-end lettuce, duck was bland, one of the pastas in the trio tasting was WAY undercooked and the sauce was also bland) If not for Matthew’s delightful service and recommendation of a very good wine, the rating would lower.

It was a nice restaurant. I had gnocchi with braised duck. It was very good. The table bread is fantastic. I would recommend the restaurant.

Most delicious meal! It has been a long time since I've visited Lydia's, but I do know that I will be coming back soon. So many other meals that I want to order! I just wish that it was easier to get a reservation for four. Must plan ahead, which I am not good at doing.
