I loved the Thanksgiving menu.
Food and service were great, table location quite frankly sucked, but would go back again.
Thank you for another wonderful Thanksgiving meal!
We always love Lidia’s and had a great time having our Thanksgiving celebration there. We loved the antipasti, pasta and dessert courses. We all felt the main course courses (our table experienced three of the five offered) were not what we usually experience at Lidia’s. We weren’t sure if that was due to staff shortage or supply chain. Overall the meal was enjoyed by all.
We had an amazing experience at Lidia's. Excellent service and exceptional food.
Used to have more ambiance and better quality of food.
Went for my husbands birthday. Had the Sunday Brunch and there was more food than we could eat. It was all wonderful!
Wonderful food. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.
Pasta was dry not very flavorful and took a long time to get out. For four people, the antipasti and desert portions were small. Our server was great, but the food just wasn’t up to the standard I have come to expect. No worries- I’ll be back soon, and hopefully we can be back to traditional brunch by then
Perhaps my disappointment was only with the brunch. It was upsetting to have such quantities of food brought to the table! The appetizers and the desserts were fine. However, since it was our first time at the brunch, we took our server’s recommendation of the pasta trio. The raviolis were exquisite, but the other two spoiled the look and the taste. The dish with a few very small shrimp was supposed to have broccoli. But it only had little flakes of something. The fettuccini with creamy red sauce was likewise salty and overwhelming.
Everything about Lidias is amazing. One of our favorite places to go
We loved the service and the ambience, but the pasta came out a little hard. Unfortunately too hard for our liking, and according to our waitress “Al dente” (Italian for hard, I’m assuming) is how the past is served.
The appetizers were delicious, wine was good, and dessert was spectacular.
Our waitress was awesome as well. Good experience unfortunate incident with pasta but service made up for it
Lidia's is an outstanding restaurant, great selection and atmosphere.
2nd time to dine at Lidia’s. Great as we remembered. Sat at the bar & had excellent service. We make a point to stop on our next time thru KC
And will recommend to our friends
We drove down from st Joseph for my 40th birthday and had an amazing experience love this restaurant
The food had very little seasoning. The appetizers were extremely bland. We had the rice balls as well as the calamari… not much to write home about. Very disappointing. I would have expected more out of a restaurant with this price point!
The outside environment has a lot more ambiance than the interior. The inside is very dated and drab. The wait staff was very kind and attentive. They checked in often. Our reservation was for 15 minutes after they opened. We had previewed the menu and were wanting to order manicotti. Oddly, it was sold out. Not sure how that happens in 15 minutes. We opened for lasagna. It was delicious. It was more of an airier version and didn’t have a belly buster heaviness to it. We ordered a Cesar salad for the two of us. It was a substantial amount and plenty for sharing. A large amount of dressing was premixed with the salad making it slightly soggy. Again, for just past the opening hour it seemed as though it sat for some time before serving. We did not order dessert. The restaurant was filling up by the time we left, therefore, it must have some popularity. While the lasagna was very good, I wouldn’t rate it on the must return list of places.
Server was excellent. Food was terrible!
Very nice place, good food and service.
Our server was exceptional
Was just ok for me. Service wasn't great starting with the hostess.
Outstanding evening as usual! Enjoyed meeting Lidia, and we are huge fans!
Lovely place to enjoy dinner and take in the views of the city!
Happened to have reservations on a set menu special event evening. The food was great and our server Peter was amazing. Did seem to take the kitchen a little longer than normal, but food was worth the wait.
The food and service are amazing. I will conture to go back as often as I can.
Absolutely lovely experience
Had dinner reservations for my gf’s bday, we have a great date night and our server was awesome. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Excellent dinner experience. Our server Holly was wonderful, explained a couple items for us. First rate wine list. The pasta trio dish was excellent
Pretty disappointed. With a tab of nearly $200 for my husband and me to celebrate our anniversary, we were not pleased with our overall experience. The service was less than stellar, our waitress wasn’t very attentive and was hard to track down, the entrees we ordered didn’t taste good to us and appeared to have about 1 tablespoon of meat in them, so we felt it was just overpriced pasta that didn’t sport enjoyable flavors. Restaurant was loud and busy.
I have been want to go to Lidia's for years. Finally had the opportunity and was not disappointed!
One of the meals was served incorrectly, but replaced with the correct order fairly quickly.
We came for brunch and were unaware that drinks were an additional charge.
Lidia's was fabulous as always
Comida deliciosa, hambiente agradable y el servicio excelente!
Pasta trio was pre-plated and not as good as when it was served from a hot skillet from the server walking around with a hot skillet.
The spice cake had a chocolate flavor which took away from the spice flavor.
The desert option for cookies was not offered.
The service was not the best. Soft drinks left unfilled while eating dinner.
One of the best experiences my husband and I have had dining out. The food, atmosphere and service were incredible. Matthew was THE BEST server. We will definitely be back
A bit heavy on the dressing for the Caesar salad. The pasta trio could have been better. The ravioli was good. Lasagna and gnocchi were good. The price is a bit high.
Terrific experience and food!
Fantastic place for a birthday celebration! The bonet was the perfect ending.
We found Lidia's a perfect end to a day in KC. The food was outstanding and the service phenomenal! It is on our anytime we are in town list! It is in a higher price range than we usually frequent but worth every penny.
The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at my previously favorite KC restaurant. We had 3 servers - all were beyond lousy. No one took charge or responsibility for our table of 4. Took us over 2.5 hours to get done with brunch because no one would ever wait on us. Then when we finally, finally got our food - it was COLD and not seasoned. I asked to see the manager and no one ever came. Beyond disappointed, as we had company with us.
The pasta trio was fabulous, so was the cheesecake! Our waitress was the best waitress we've ever had! It was my birthday last night and she brought my cheesecake out with a candle and played Nelly (party like it's your birthday) on her phone when she served it! Really low, not so loud that everyone could hear. She had the best personality! Great ambiance! My husband got the duck and said it was a little tougher then he would have liked but still good! Good sized portions too!!! I definitely recommend the pasta trio with salad and dessert for the price!😍
