Food not warm enough, salad excellent, green beans raw, turkey ok, desserts good. No cranberries or bread. Tip being included was presumptuous. Total with non alcoholic drinks was 175.00. very poor value for cost—won’t do again.

Menu restricted to holiday options. Preference is regular menu with emphasis on tapas. that Chef Marc is known for. However, the featured sections focused on prime rib and turkey were excellent. Service staff was very friendly / attentive. Seating inside with panoramic views was very nice and comfortable.

Fantastic place to have our Thanksgiving dinner together. The fried squash balls in the salad and green chili gravy were tasty. New Mexico skies don't disappoint either.

We reserved a table for 4 on Thanksgiving for a Pre Fixe holiday meal. The meal itself was simple and traditional, but flavorful. The main course, however, was served on the colder side; almost as if the meal had been prepared a previous day and warmed the day of. Soup was OUTSTANDING and the best part of the meal. We were surprised that only a handful of tables were dining for Thanksgiving. It was not at all busy. Our review is greatly affected by the poor service and the waitresses deceit in an attempt to get a double tip. We are normally >25% tippers, especially on a holiday. However, the failure to give us an itemized receipt and the inability to add back to what we estimated for our final tab made us request one. This allowed us to notice we had already been charged gratuity. The managers response was not a genuine apology; seemed as if the entire team partakes in tip sharing. Although tips are well deserved, especially on a holiday, the act of greed sent us away unhappy and in disbelief. Our waitress never came back after dropping off the tab but kept on eye on us as we talked to the manager and departed. Automatically adding gratuity on a holiday is fine but transparency demonstrates business integrity. Best ambiance in Albuquerque, but get an itemized receipt and don't go on a holiday.

I was really excited to try this place! The menu is so creative. We ordered five dishes (the quail, the elk, the tostada, the wings, and the buffalo) and all the meat was very dry and tough. The “small plates” are actually full sized entrees, you don’t need to order several. For the price, we were pretty disappointed.

We celebrated our anniversary there. The drinks were amazing (loved the margaritas). The food was beautiful original and delicious. We appreciated the celebratory desert too (chocolate cake with ice cream). The restaurant is ambiance was nice and the views breath taking. Service was friendly and our server made great recommendations. I did think it was priced high compared to similar restaurants. For that reason I will reserve future visits for special occasions. , We had a great experience and recommend Level 5.

One of our favorite restaurants in Albuquerque, atop the Hotel Chaco, magnificent views, eclectic menu. Last night the cocktails were particularly fine, including a Margarita with the Mezcal "boost": we're from Texas and this was one of the best Margs we've had, couldn't help but have two of them. The lobster bao small plate surprised, the consensus best, in a restaurant that largely features meats.

A little bit pricey--but not really far out of line vs. other similar alternatives, and I suppose the view was worth a premium. The food was very good. I would definitely go back, but not frequently--not that wealthy! Nothing to complain about.

We so enjoy Level 5 for a relaxing weekend brunch with best views in Albuquerque. Our last visit was Saturday, 11/04 and everything was great. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were a great brunch lead in to the Tenderloin Sandwich, key tender, with the fantastic Patatas Bravas, Spanish Potatoes cooked to perfection. Ask for a side of Red Chile to dip your Patatas Bravas. We enjoyed brunch once again at Level 5 thanks to the great attention of the Chef and his team. Thank you Level 5 Team for another great visit.

Chef Marc checks in with us upon serving of our food and wants to be sure the food meets our expectations. This is a place of passion for great food and a team that seeks to exceed customer expectations. Not to mention best view in Albuquerque from above and sweeping views of the city and Sandia Mountains. Thank you. Bruce

We were looking forward to our meal at Level 5. However we were very disappointed by the level of service. When we arrived there was no one at the host stand and it was unclear where to check in. The hostess eventually offered us both indoor and outdoor options but the only tables outdoors were low couches other than tables without a view. We decided to sit inside and waited over 10 min without a waitperson greeting us. We had to inquire of the host about whether we had a server. Eventually we had a waitress who was reasonable through the evening though the service was often slow. The cocktails, wine and food were very good- piñon fried rice, grilled Caesar, buffalo short rib and scallops. The chef came out to inquire about the food and we did enjoy it. For the prices the vibe in the restaurant was way too casual and the service was diffident at best.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant. We dined outside under a heater. The ambience is very cool and chic. The service was very good but the food disappointed. The short ribs were tough and the pork chop was overcooked and dry. May be a better place to come for cocktails and appetizers than for dinner.

I ordered the short ribs. I received 6 little marble sized pieces of very chewy meat. We waited quite some time for it. I dont even believe it was short rib. Not exactly what I expected. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about the scotch selection. The cost of it all was already to be expected by us, that was in no way the problem. I don't exactly feel like recommending this place. We went there specifically for Chef Marc mind you.

Maybe still a staffing issue, but service was a 2 out or 10. I had to stop a server walking by after 20 minutes just to get my first drink. This tone continued through out the night. You could tell the staff needs more training, and support. Didn't operate in customer service mentality.

Level five has the best sunset view in Albuquerque. It’s a wonderful place to go for a drink in the evening. It’s a pity the food does not live up to the experience. I had the short ribs which very dry, and obviously pre-cooked. Don’t believe the photos you see online. The roasted chicken was so-so, but $42 for half a chicken? My advice: go for a drink but have dinner elsewhere.

Food was excellent…interesting menu, attractively plated. We had heard negatives about the service, but on this evening it was just fine. Only two concerns…a couple of our entrees came to the table just very slightly short of hot enough…and pricing. My scallop dish was gorgeous, well prepared, unique and tasty, but $57 for two scallops and an ounce of chorizo was a little over valued. Ok, they’ve built in a premium for a nice venue and a magnificent panoramic view of the valley and mountains surrounding Albuquerque…and I get that. But I would have felt better about the evening for menu prices maybe 15-20% less.

First the prices did not match the menu prices. We asked if they offer bread and they said yea they would bring some. They didn’t mention the $8 charge for 4 slices of bread, which 2 were totally burnt and black but were put face down. They gave my medium rare steak to my friend and her medium steak to me. These are just a few of the issues. Slow service etc. very disappointing.

The restaurant has a lovely view of the city which was one of the reasons for coming to the restaurant. Sadly, everything else was sub par. I had to ask the hostess if we had a server and she apologized as did the server when she arrived (she also took the drinks off the bill.). There was a long wait to get the food. Two of us ordered scallops (which were quite tasty) but two were served on the plate. For $52 I think it warrants more than two scallops. The other dishes served seemed a more appropriate size for the cost. What a shame!

We had a reservation for the outside dining area. The view is phenomenal, I recommend booking around sunset. This is the only good thing about this restaurant. The service is abysmal, waited 15-20 minutes between every interaction with our wait staff. After reading the resume of the head chef we thought that our meal was going to be amazing. We had the grilled Caesar salad, the quail and the tomahawk pork chop. Everything was mediocre. No seasoning on the quail. I hope this was an off night for the restaurant, but overheard someone send back their pork chop because it was dry, ours was fine. They also moved a group in the bar because there was too many of them in a small area, they weren’t hurting anything and were ordering drinks so it wasn’t like they were taking up a table. So many great restaurants in Albuquerque and this is NOT one of them.

We were seated graciously and quickly, right after the hostess dismissed the couple behind us by telling them that only reservation holders and hotel guests would be served that evening. The location and views are outstanding. However on this 75 degree evening we were seated under a gas heater operating at its highest capacity - and nobody could turn it down. Turns out that all of the heaters on this largely outdoor rooftop restaurant are controlled together, and they were all out of control. Other guests were complaining as well. We were told that “maintenance” would be coming to fix it - you can guess how that went. By the time we had finished our appetizer it became obvious that we’d have move. We were relocated to a booth behind a concrete wall - no out-of-control heater, but also no view, and plenty of extra noise from the kitchen and bar. For some reason a second appetizer showed up, and we explained that we’d already had ours. I made a mental note to actually read the check. Our entrees (scallops and bison) were both over-cooked, and not by just a little bit. Good thing I decided to actually read the check. For some reason, receipts were not available - the waiter said they’d had some sort of system problem, so the only thing we were offered was the slip that I’d have to sign and give back to them. Not a single item on the check we got was ours. I went looking for a manager and found no evidence of one in the place. Eventually our waiter showed up again, and I explained the problem. He came back with the right check, but again, just the one copy that the restaurant would keep. So, yeah, now I’ve gotta watch my credit card statements. I should have taken a pic of the check, I suppose, before adding a small tip, a bunch of notes, and my signature, and walking away. If you try this place, go on a very cold weekend, not a balmy Tuesday evening! Keep your expectations about the food and service low, and read your check carefully.

The food here ranges between very good and exceptional - we were blown away by the lobster bao buns and the filet mignon. The scallops were unfortunately a little burned, and the paired lavender cornmeal with them was a little too sweet. We were mostly distracted by the poor service. We didn’t get addresses or served until 20 minutes after we were sat, and didn’t receive food until a full hour after our reservation. We also had no lighting on our table despite requesting it for the entirety of our stay, until we grabbed one off an adjoining table after the diners were done. It was a disappointing experience compared to what it could have been.

Flaky but moist and served atop some of the most delicious - and unusual- risotto I've ever eaten. The staff is great, the executive chef is highly social/involved and the views are awesome.
