We had the fixed price menu which we really enjoyed with the addition of some fresh oysters which were superb. We watched the other diners’ meals arriving which looked so tempting we will surely be back to try them!

Excellent service, though the food - for my taste - overpriced for the quality of the dishes that we were getting. Also, our group did not want to drink alcohol and they were constantly insisting for us to get wine, which we clearly didn't want

Very nice place in the centre of Mayfair. I was really surprised by the kitchen. The lamb for two is lovely.

We enjoyed the general character of the restaurant --the reception was friendly and orderly, service was excellent and,save for the main course involving scallops/crab, the food was highly rated. The exception was not quite as expected and rather bland.

The atmosphere was elegant, yet comfortable. I enjoyed the setting. The fish main dishes were excellent. The artichoke barigoule was, to put it kindly, meager. It contained only 4 petals and no hearts. That was disappointing. The service while polite and sincere, but was unpracticed and not as attentive as a higher end restaurant should be . There was no hostess to greet us when we arrived. The bartender had to roust her. The server tried to up sell me on the champagne. He brought me the bottle I ordered plus another bottle and began trying the sales pitch. Even went so far as to tell me the two were comparably priced when, in fact, his suggestion was considerably more expensive. This, in front of my wife and with the next table hanging on every word. The next table even commented on the exchange. The bottled water was brought to the table but not poured. The champagne bottle was not left with us, but the glasses were not refilled unless asked. Upon leaving, the hostess could not locate our coats, although she did offer me 3 other nice coats in the effort. I had to wade in to the closet to find them myself. There were other small issues, none that would make or break the evening, but when added up made for a less than optimal experience. Again, they were sincerely trying, I just think more training would help.

Excellent food with great attention to details. We ate only seafood but the quality and execution was fantastic. Nice choice of desserts. Overall - Les Platanes has become my new favourite restaurant in Mayfair.
