Le Colonial - Houston
A lavish downstairs dining room is adorned with period photography, overhead fans and leather banquettes, and flanked by a Parisian-Style sidewalk café. A dramatic staircase leads to a second level lounge, where a large bar, mahogany millwork and plush seating create the perfect atmosphere for cocktails and light fare. Custom louvered shutters surround the west veranda, while an additional terrace on the north side is fully enclosed and features additional dining tables. The Lotus Room, anchored by a mural created by Swedish muralist Jonas Wickman rendered in gentle tropical tones, seats up to 14 for private dinners and wine tastings.

It’s the most amazing food in Houston! They never disappoint!!
we had a family dinner for 5 people and the food was excellent (little spicy) and the ambiance was very good. little pricey.
Awesome service as always..
Nice environment perfect service . If you want to eat some thing different and good seafood it’s the perfect place. We took the tune tartare and the cevice they were very good .
Ambiance was spectacular, delicious cocktail, dumplings weee fabulous, ribs were not! All I’m all a wonderful experience!
Ate outside on the patio. Very nice.
I was ignored till I booked with open table
The ambiance was lovely and with weather nice - sitting on the patio was a treat in what would typically be a warm Houston evening. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. The food was very good. We ordered the spring rolls, cabbage/grapefruit salad & pho then split the bo luc lac. Delicious meat and pho was excellent. We probably should have gotten something other than spring rolls because those were nothing extraordinary. They were good but should have gone with something we couldn't get some where else.
Great food and service
Great effort at providing the "distancing" and at the same time, the introduction of the plants between tables made for an attractive interior that did not seem weird or empty. Music plays a role too. Great job.
Fantastic lunch time location for the busy professional who’s trying to date or meet a friends and family.
Our first time eating out since the shutdown. It was so much fun! The entire outdoors of the River Oaks Shopping District was teeming with people eating in outdoor areas of restaurants or just out walking. Le Colonial was very busy, inside and out, while complying with table distancing requirements. The employees were masked. We sat outside out of an abundance of caution, and it felt perfectly fine. As usual, the food and service were excellent. I would like to see a wider by the glass wine selection though.
Favorite restaurant in Houston!
Waiter did not make sure the order for an allergy was taken correctly. My daughter got sick even after asking several times about order. You must speak to someone knowledgeable when someone dining has a specific allergy.
The young woman in the blue dress with long dark hair was outstanding
Service was weak at first. Believe they forgot about us. After speaking with the host and manager, we got our orders in and they took care of us.
After the slow start, service was good and food is amazing. Great drinks too.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so happy to be welcoming our guests back into our restaurant after 6 weeks. Much appreciated on your patience as we get back into step. Our apologies for the initial delay. Hope you have a safe and great day!!!! Martin
Our first dinner out since quarantine was wonderful. Food as always so tasty and fresh. Service friendly and attentive. They did a great job on social distance. Thankyou!
Many people think it may be too early for restaurants to open. Today is the first day in Houston and if restaurants follow the protocol this one did, we will be fine. Excellent food, service and extreme anti viral cleanliness.
