The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.

I’m very high hopes for Lavo, but it was really about volume instead of quality. The food was not great. The service was confusing. Kind of disappointing.

Little loud, clubby. Food is solid. The bar seating is a bit cramped for how big the plates are. It’s hard to hear the person sitting across from you.

Service was slow. I asked the server for salt & pepper and she forgot, I had to ask someone else for it. They also did not refill waters and we had to ask for more water. Some of the ítems on the menú they had run out of so that was dissapointing
