   The service was actually unacceptable. I arrived with two female friends and 30 minutes later after being seated we still have not received any service. We flagged a server walking by to order drinks again time is passing by and no one is coming by to even offer us menus. One of us got up and flagged another person down to bring us menus. Now we wait. Again, no one is coming by. We flag a female server down and ask her if we have a server for our table? She flags another person down to take our order. So this is how our evening carried on, we were completely disregarded and ignored. While the tables around us that arrived after us we’re getting full attention and full service we will not be coming back.

   Have dined many times here-food always delish! Service however was very poor- didn’t bring our appetizer - then got our entrees wrong -didn’t check to see if we and our two out of town guests would need anything!

   After our order was taken we felt throughout the evening that our waiter sort of "ignored us at times" we poured our own wine twice, and we felt perhaps because our order wasn't a big item ordered that he realized the final bill wouldn't be big thus a not so big a tip. Actually and I mentioned it to him, the young chap (bus boy?) who brought water, bread etc was much more attentive than our waiter. Whether he had too many tables to look after but over all it was a good evening,. Prices are quite high, portion are huge and the no corkage on Sun is wonderful we must say, when you look at the prices of wines on the list. It's a lovely place for a special occasion. Overall we enjoyed but might explain why we hadn't been back for 7 yrs!

   It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. If they sit you outside, ask for one of their fly fans if they don’t already have one on the table. If not the flies will be all over you and your food. They had a singer/guitarist outside but you could barely hear him, which to me defeated the point of having him. We were celebrating our 6th yr wedding anniversary and usually the waiter would ask if it was our first time there and if we’re celebrating anything, but he didn’t. Got handed drink menus and food menus and that was it. It was a nice place but when we come back to the area again we may not revisit.

    We took my mother out for a birthday celebration and it exceeded our expectations. The food was superb, they even had vegan options for my husband and I and then provided a "birthday desert" with a candle. This will be our new go-to for special occaisions.

    We had four generations in our party and we found something for every taste. The service was prompt and efficient and the ambiance made everyone from 2 to 85 happy. We have been here before and we love introducing family and friends to Lavender.

    My husband and I had halibut which was the dinner special. We both found our fish dry and over cooked. Would not order this again. I would recommend Lavender Bistro to a friend with emphasis on the outdoor seating.

    Jerry was our server; remembering his name is a good sign of satisfaction, and my party of two was supremely satisfied. Food wonderful, both the choices and the preparation/taste. Outdoor seating sublime, other diners supplied great atmosphere, and Scott Carter on the guitar & vocal laid down a perfect song selection and delivery. Happy, and thank you - Paul

    Always a favorite but just didn’t deliver this time. I come often and love Lavendar Bistro but this time it started in the bar w a horrible vodka martini. Had to send it back. Even though it was warm, we elected to sit in the beautiful patio garden. Perhaps not a great choice this time of year because of the heat. We started w the beet salad which is normally wonderful but this time the beets were really tough and hard. I then had the lobster ravioli which was delicious. My daughter had the steak and ordered medium and it came out bloody rare. She sent it back because it was almost ‘walking’ and it took 30 minutes to get back. By this time we were finished and took it to go. Service was slow but not our servers fault for what’s happening in the kitchen. To say we were disappointed is an understatement especially since they’ve raised prices quite a bit and it was a special occasion. It’s still a beautiful atmosphere but will definitely rethink the next visit.

    Other than my dads steak being well done and chewy my meal was delicious, the lobster ravioli is to die for!!! I was a little sad you took my fav lobster salad off the menu but the crab one is excellent as well. I was a little uncomfortable with one of the hostesses she was handing roses out as it was Mother’s Day looked me up and down and moved onto another lady. I didn’t need one I’m not a mom but it was rude

    If you are nostalgic for a food menu that seems stuck in the 1990s that seems to be governed by the concept that the more flavors included on one plate (with individual dishes that regularly include fruit, vegetables, protein, salsa, Asian fusion and American flavors) the better, than this place is for you.

    i think that the servers need to wear something else in the heat... they are not very pleasant when they are miserable and hot. Ours had a somewhat attitude then warmed up after i asked him if he was hot in his tie and long sleeves.. then he laughed and said he was not. i really felt badly for him.

    Food was amazing, everybody liked their dishes, service was very good, and the atmosphere is lovely. It was crowded, Friday night before Mothers Day, live music made it a bit noisy and it was a little too hot to be sitting outdoors, but it’s our second time there and we would go back again anytime.

    Although the waiter was excellent, we should not have to wait 40 minutes to go to our table when the restaurant is not even close to full. Our meals were not as good as expected. I have many close friends that said to go there for dinner, but we found the dinners just average. All in all, we were disappointed.

    The setting is so lovely. The music volume was just right. We did not feel rushed by our server in ordering. Unfortunately, our meal arrived lukewarm, and our server did not come by to see how things were so we had to flag somebody down. When they brought our meal out the second time, it wasn’t much different. We would like to say, however, that the flavor was very good, and they comped our meals, so we will give it another try.

    My wife and I very much enjoyed The Lavender this past week for our 42 wedding anniversary. The food was great, the service was excellent and our server was very friendly and professional. My wife had the chicken and I had the fish and we loved them both. The food was served hot and having a nice bottle of Chardonay at half price was great!! It seemed like everyone really enjoyed working there. Next time we hope to be outside. We stayed inside this time because of the winds. We hope to go there again soon!!

    It was an awesome evening start to finish! The outside patio is amazing the music perfect background and our meal was fantastic! We were both celebrating birthdays and they made it so special! If you haven’t been here yet…GO! You will love every minute of it!
