Food was poor, no where near the flavorful steak frites found in France. The service was terrible. After being seated for 20 minutes, we had to flag down a server just to put in our drink order. When giving us the check, the waiter said very loudly, "Just so you know, tip isn't included in the total!" Sadly for him, this self-actualization came mostly true.

Simply the best steak frites around! The only place that divides the order into 2 parts to insure hot, fresh quality food on your plate at all times! The owner came to the table to make sure we were COMPLETELY satisfied and engaged us in delightful conversation for at least 10 minutes. Truly a great experience

Introduced to this place by Blackboard Eats. We had the steak frites - delicious but wish there was a bit less sauce so we could see the meat. The little gem salad, Mac and cheese and brownie were delicious. Our server was lovely.

First time at L'assiette and was really impressed. We tried a number of the appetizers and all of them were great. If you like Foie Gras, theirs is impressive. As our main, we all had the house specialty, steak frites, which comes out in two servings about 10-15 minutes apart. One serving was easily enough for me but it was an interesting idea that I think worked well. Come hungry it is a large meal as a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it.

Granted it was a hot evening; however, the service was non-attentive at best. The steak is divided into two servings "so it stays hot". Neither serving was hot, and the second serving was like waiting for Jesus to return. Sitting over dirty plates for more than 10 minutes was unpleasant, but the sour seperated sauce on the first serving of the main course was worse- and it was room temperature. Really not impressed.

Their A/C was out and it was one of the hottest days in LA. Neither the manager or the wait staff apologized.
