Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

Standards have definitely dropped over the years
Living off former glories
We’ve been many times to Langans but the service on this occasion was very poor. To top it off they then charged a 12.5% service charge and a £2 cover charge per head to have a drink at the bar as our table wasn’t ready. £40 for terrible service and no acknowledgement of it. Disappointing experience this time. Maureen
Wonderful dinner. Classic brasserie menu. Alexandra and Terry were excellent and made us feel very welcome. Langan's is the perfect restaurant for those looking for an informal dining experience in a relaxed, traditional and unpretentious setting. Authentic food and staff !
Always enjoy dining here. The food is always delicious and well presented. The service is delivered with humour and professionalism, you are always well taken care of. Lastly the ambience is perfect,a vibrant atmosphere with a comfortable feel- never stuffy!
A very nice meal, professionally prepared and served. good attention to detail, all very enjoyable.
Great evening with friends great atmosphere excellent food and service.
Rib eye was so disappointing. Chargrilled but all I could taste was the char, bitter and unable to taste the steak. £440 for 4 people for 2 courses is so far over the top. This restaurant has deteriorated over the 20 years I have been going there. Off my list now unfortunately, such a shame.
Our first visit for some time with good friends who appreciate good food and ambiance.
We were very pleased with the table, service and menu. The ambiance was welcoming with a good
general atmosphere and the food was up to expectation.
Great food, great place and would definitely return.
We loved this place! Never been anywhere quite like it. The food was fantastic, the service spot on, but the ambience was something else. We stayed for hours, and the best thing was that we were certain that everyone else felt the same.
Lovely meal ,the only complaint was that as soon as we had finished our starter the main meal meal was served straight away,it would have been nice to have a bit of a break .
First class food in a very good restsurant
My favourite restaurant in London. The food and atmosphere is wonderful.
Loved the food and service was great. 2nd visit in 2 weeks.
This table was a little bit noisy compared to last weeks but nothing too bad.
A London institution, good British food at ok prices. Service was very good.
Great restaurant with based upon traditional values and service with a smile!
Fabulo birthday celebrations. Enjoyed the complimentary birthday treats after lunch too.
Waiter was friendly and helpful
Splendid lunch served traditionally and with great care. Good varied menu. House white excellent
Always a pleasure to dine here - from the warm welcome, the service and of course, the excellent food.
Gorgeous restaurant, wonderful food great atmosphere would highly recommend
A must experience London restaurant. Fantastic food, even better service, and all at very reasonable cost. We can't wait to go back..
Lovely place and beautiful food. I had the Crispy Duck Salad to start which was amazing. For main course I had the Beef Wellington which was also very good. My only negative point was when we got there our drinks took a little while to come in fact we didn’t get our wine until after our starter had arrived! My husbands Gin & Tonic also arrived at the same time as the wine. Not ideal.
Although food was very good, and perfectly cooked, the service was very rushed and inattentive.
First time eating at Langan’s Brasserie, a very busy restaurant, service excellent, we had the broccoli and Stilton soup, ravioli and a treacle tart and coffee, we also had a coffee, lovely restaurant.
Husbands golf society - enjoyed the meal & ambience of Langans.
Great service, food and atmosphere. We enjoyed the poached eggs and haddock starter then fillet steaks. Delicious. The merlot was good value and the apple crumble was divine.
Amazing meal and service for my Mums 70th - thank you!
Lovely team and great food. We will be back. Really recommend for any time of day
A wonderful restaurant offering excellent service and food. So nice to find traditional meals on the menu. We were a party of 4 and each of us had a different meal which was thoroughly enjoyed.
Lovely meal with my son today. Great service and menu.
We’ll be back
Just outstanding I go there a lot and it remains a favourite destination
Service excellent could not fault it as always
We love going there
Nice and quiet afternoon could talk to each other and we were not rushed
Can not wait until next time
Great service and great food! They do not rush you out as soon as you have finished your meal. Always a good bet for a great meal.
You Can’t fault Langan’s impeccable service, relaxed feel and fantastic food.
Excellent food, pate and Daniele ham then 2x veal escalopes - couldn’t have better.
Really great menu full of traditional dishes you recognise but done to the highest standard.
Lovely environment, nice without being pretentious or stuffy.
Great value and very friendly service.
Fantastic meal with brilliant service - I was celebrating my birthday and the plate of petit fours piped Happy Birthday was a lovely surprise
Looked after us really well, wife’s birthday made her feel special
Not so much a Brasserie, it is rather an old school english restaurant. The reference to some "French" culture is misleading when you are not "posh" English. But there are a number of French wines on the list. The quality of dishes is very good and without any excitement. Maybe there is a bit too much emphasis on the artwork. By my observation, locals value the Langan´s much higher then foreign guests.
Only thing I was disappointed with was my main. I had veal in breadcrumbs. It was so burnt and thin you could not taste the veal. Disappointing dish
