I have dined at Landry's for 20 years. It has gone downhill in recent years. The steak was 1/4 inch thick and was NOT a New York Strip. Most of it was gristle! Seafood was meh at best. The server spent most of our time there just visiting with other servers by the kitchen. Drinking glasses were empty most of the time and our food was obviously prepared long before it arrived at our table. The restaurant was not busy, but it took an hour to receive our food. For premium prices, it was a huge disappointment!

We were seated immediately. Service is a bit on the slow side. Mahi Mahi was ok, not great. It was really loud once it started getting busy at dinner time.

This is beyond a doubt, the best seafood and steakhouse in Galveston Island, worth the money, very nice, but also appropriately priced. They have everything you would want, very welcoming, and it’s great for a little children.

Went in with my wife and son at 5:30 on a Tuesday, not exactly rush time. Ordered the the Tilapia, kids pizza and the Rib Eye, medium rare. The food arrived after approx 30 minutes and the steak was well done. It was another 10 minutes before I got the servers attention. When the new steak came out, it was presented by the manager and I was asked to check the temperature. It was fine. However, after tasting it, it was evident that they had not seasoned this steak at all. Rather surprising for a $56 steak with a half full restaurant. The server was great, overworked and doing his best but it the managers demeanor was a little off putting and after all, I could have cooked a better steak myself at home for a fraction of the cost.

Had a decent experience at this location over the weekend. The swordfish was good and my wife's salad was good. Was disappointed with the kid's burger sliders though. My stepdaughter is a picky eater and the sliders seemed like they were from a frozen pre-made box, which disappointed her.

Landry’s does it again. Despite being a nationally marketed chain - Landry’s displayed the professionalism and authenticity of a local Galveston seafood restaurant. I’d highly recommend as the premier dining locale over any hotel or other restaurant for tourists staying in the San Luis area. Go to Landry’s!

It was very loud and hot. I ordered a draft beer and was given a bottle and told it taste the same. Caesar salad didn’t have much dressing on it. Calamari barely had any calamari, it had a lot of other fried things on the plate. Overall it was just okay.
