Vegetables (both carrots and brussel sprouts) were way too firm to be edible. Not able to cut them! This has happened many times. The short ribs and mashed potatoes were fantastic.

We love the unique setting and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our food, however, was a bit disappointing this time. We each purchased from the "Sunset Dinner" selection. The portions were plentiful but the food quality was not. The green beans and sauce were well overdone and had a burnt flavor. The glazed carrots on my husband's plate were unrecognizable as carrots. The salmon was fatty and had a couple of small bones. The bread was delicious as were both of the salads. The service was exceptional! We will go back again, hoping it was just an "off" night for the kitchen staff. A beautiful and unique restaurant!

Excellent service. My family has many food restrictions (low salt cardiac diet & food allergies etc.) The Chef and Wait staff were very accommodating & helpful with providing options for our restricted diets. Overall great experience, made our family celebration a festive non-stressful event.

Lovely evening. Our hostess sat us in a lovely booth and our waiter Julian made our evening outstanding. The food was delicious, service great, our anniversary desert was delicious. No one hurried our evening in any way. The hostess that greeted us, wished us a happy anniversary before even seating us. Thank you Cliff House for making our anniversary dinner special.

Marcus, the bartender did a great show with his shakers so when you go there, please ask him to make you a Martini. The show comes free. The other bartender do not recall his name , was the one who told us about the great early bird specials was very friendly, kind and provided great service .

We went for a nice early dinner, taking advantage of the Sunset Special. Having dined there earlier this month, we we’re expecting a delicious, high quality meal with top notch service like we had then. That didn’t happen. I ordered the short ribs like I did before. Then, they fell perfectly apart without a knife and we’re mouth watering, with delectable hot Brussels sprouts. This time, the meat was tough leaving me wondering if it was leftover from the night before. The Brussels sprouts were warm and average. Not the meal I was looking forward to. Two people at our table ordered the salmon with green beans. Neither ate the green beans as the sauce was too spicy and unappetizing. The dollop of mashed potatoes were bland. Salads were good. Service was okay. All in all, not the treat we were hoping for.

Service is friendly and welcoming, although a bit slow on greeting and returning to the table. Plenty of staff to make sure that a table has what it needs. We loved that half-portions are available on many entrees as that frees us to try appetizers and other menu items. High quality preparation.

We were especially pleased with food quality and service. But did not like the location of the table nor the arrangement. Being at a small table in a “row” with other tables (south [?] wall by windows) made it very difficult to converse without our neighbors being part of our private conversation. Also, we were constantly bombarded by two adjacent conversations.

The food was amazing, even though i wasn’t that hungry i still ordered the ceviche and a salad as my meal. Was kinda disappointed in the lack of dressing in the salad but he we can always request more. The service was great the ambiance was a vibe in its own. Didn’t feel like a restaurant in the desert.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at LaQuinta Cliffhouse. We booked a Saturday evening dinner to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions and the staff absolutely knocked it out of the park! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were absolutely delicious and the deserts!! Oh the deserts!! The carrot cake was fantastic, but the crème brule was simply delicious. The ambience, the attention from the staff, the quality and quantity of the food, and just the overall atmosphere was like non other. Even my 18 year old son, who is a bit of a steak snob, said his bone-in rib eye was probably in the top two of steaks he’s ever had, and let me tell you, this kid knows his steaks!! Will definitely be back again!!
