Our favorite restaurant in Vail!
Do not miss the arugula salad. It was completely memorable. Entire experience was great. We will be back.
Our last night in Vail and La Nonna did not disappoint. My wife and I shared an appetizer, pasta dish, and veal scallopine. Each dish was excellent. Appetizer was the mussels. Sauce was light and perfect for dipping their delicious bread. We had the seafood pasta with a light tomato sauce. Sauce was not too tomatoey and seafood in the pasta was very nice. The octopus was not too chewy.
The veal dish was very good. I was expecting a more traditional scallopine preparation. It was more like a veal parmesan. So if you are inclined to order it make sure you get what you expect.
Finally we had the pear tart for dessert. All I can say is that we loved it!
Portions were just right for splitting.
We had a very nice time there. Wait staff was knowlegadable, and support staff took care of all the details.
This a pasta place. Pasta dishes were better than other dishes ordered. But the pasta was outstanding
Amazing Homemade Italian, Perfected!
My husband and I started out with a bottle of Vencia Ronco del Cerò and the bruschetta and both were phenomenal!!
Next, he had the Cesar which was good but I didn’t love the crispy breadcrumbs on top. I ordered the pasta special that night which was tagliatelle, shrimp, tomatoes, white wine and basil and it was so simple and so delicious!! My husband had the mushroom ravioli with truffle oil and that was even better. His dish was very rich and we ended up swapping dinners halfway thru and happy we did that as we both loved each pasta dish.
We finished the dinner with a complementary glass of limoncello as it was our anniversary.
We both said this was one of the best dinners we have had!!
Great service Great food Nice atmosphere!
Well worth the wait for the remodel! Both food and service were excellent. Can hardly wait till our return.
Love the people and the food. One of our favs in Vail;))
We loved La Nonna. We had halibut, perfectly cooked and delicious, and an excellent salad and soup to start. Service was fast and friendly.
Portions a bit small but all were very tasty. Would certainly go back and recommend. One of the better meals we’ve had in Vail.
Wonderful food and service. Definitely recommend and we will be back.
Everything was terrific. Food, service, and a beautiful setting.
We love the ambiance, energy and service at La Nonna. The lamb in fig sauce is melt in your mouth tender and is FABULOUS! All pastas are homemade and our favorite is the Malfatti di Ricotta, with tomatoes. Divine! In summer they always offer a fresh fruit tart for dessert, but be sure to put your order in early because they always run out. La Nonna is a must in Vail. Make reservations in advance. It’s always booked.
This is what you expect for great service in a restaurant from the moment you meet the hostess to the servers at the table. The staff has been around a long time and cares about working at La Nonna, which really trickles down to your experience at the table before you even dive into all the goodness. The food is unreal and its because of the top notch chef, who makes sure every plate that goes out of the kitchen is just right. I'd like to give a bad review for selfish reasons just so I can walk in anytime and have a table ready for me, but I have to tell the truth and let people know how good La Nonna really is. -Boomer
The food, service and ambience was great. The staff could not be nicer.
Great food and atmosphere.
The pasta was amazing. My friend had the gnocchi bolognese and I had the ravioli al
Funghi. Unbelievable. And the peach tart was fresh and beautifully done.
This was a first visit for us, and if we return to Vail will not be the last. Food was excellent with an emphasis on local food without be pretentious about it. I require gluten free food and they both understood and accommodated my needs. Prices not low, but adjusted for Vail about wwhat one would expect for this quality.
The food is excellent, and the server knowledgable and friendly. I loved that she poured wine so that the bottle wasn't immediately empty!
Very enjoyable on the patio. We sampled a variety of food. The mushroom truffle ravioli was delicious. Salads and apps great. My husband had the veal piccata, thought it was fair. I had the fish special a little bland. Overall very good, nice wine list.

Great service
Absolutely my most favorite restaurant in Vail! Always welcoming, friendly, great atmosphere and ambiance, spectacular wine list, remarkable food, delicious desserts, but it feels like home! I LOVE La NONNA!
Our favorite in Vail!
From the warm greeting at the hostess desk to the exceptional service and food, La Nonna is a Vail favorite. The food! The food! Everything is fabulous. Our favorites this time were the very tender lamb in fig sauce. They also let us sample some half portions of pasta, as appetizers and the Caesar salad is so good. I added tomatoes and savored every bite. The summer peach tart was wonderful and we got the last slice. I felt sorry for those dining after us. Be sure to put in your request for the tart early or you will miss out. My only complaint is that the pours of wine were too slight.
We dined for years with Mira at the old Campo di Fiori. Now, Mira and her partner have created an outstanding experience at La Nonna. The deliciousness of the menu, the professionalism of the staff, the ambiance of the new decor all make La Nonna the best Italian restaurant in the Vail Valley.
The pour on the wine was small. Other than that it was outstanding!
As always, La Nonna was absolutely wonderful. My father was visiting from Texas, and he absolutely loved his meal, the choice of wines and the ambiance. I bring all of my guests to La Nonna as it is my favorite restaurant in Vail!
Sat on the patio for our anniversary and it was amazing!
Service was great. Food was DELICIOUS!
it was recommended to me by my sister and i already recommended to my daughter. i had the best lam shops i had eaten in a long time even better that the ones i had in Paris last month
Great food and service for our bday celebration
We always love La Nonna! It is usually our first stop when we get to town for its homey feel and great pasta.
Fun girls date night! Great food and service- great cocktails - patio is lovely!! Thank you!!
La Nonna has great food! Delightful, delicious homemade pastas will give your taste buds a real treat. Service is a bit inconsistent. Once we were seated, we waited for someone to attend to us. They finally did and were not consistent in coming by the table to see if we needed anything. We sat next a large group of young people which was fine. One woman had the screechiest, high-pitched voice when she was talking. After about 45 minute of this sound, we skipped dessert and high-tailed it home. Recommend La Nonna when you are hankering for homemade pasta and need something wonderful to eat.
Food, Bellisimo; Service; Gracious. Location just as delicious as food.
Food is always good. Although I came at 7:30 (by mistake) for a 6:30 reservation, they were able to accommodate me. One of my favorite restaurants in Vail.
great vibe.
The food was excellent, the new decor is lovely, the service is professional...an overall great dining experience.
The waiter was in too much of a hurry for us. We wanted to sip our wine & talk to old friends we had not seen in a long time. Otherwise our dinner was delicious.
