About the Owner: Mr. Kulici is currently pursuing his professional career here in Louisiana. After 25 years he has devoted an exasperating amount of time and creativity to the art of food and hospitality. Consistency and culinary drive sets his goals to constant expansion and entrepreneur opportunities that are currently unfolding here in Louisiana. LaContea Italian Restaurant has now been open since February of 2017. We had a wonderful evening except for 4 very drunk, very loud and obnoxious older women at the next table. The manager was quite gracious and even comped us a dessert to make up for the disturbance. It's a shame when people like this ruin things for everyone else.

Our dinner was wonderful, there was a pianist playing and that added to an already great atmosphere. Will definitely be back! The cappuccino after dinner was fantastic!

Second time visiting and wasn't disappointed. Natalie was very gracious and helpful. Food was excellent and served at the right temperature. Recommend going when they have entertainment on the weekends. Unfortunately they didn't have it on our Saturday night after Thanksgiving. Definitely will be back!

This was an off night for the restaurant, and I'm sure they were doing their best. Here were some items that stood out: rolls, normally a big plus for this restaurant, were dried up entrees lukewarm when served chicken marsala featured flattened, rubbery slabs of chicken limited seating choices away from crying child OTOH, salmon was tasty. Salad crisp, soup delish, attentive service, nice finish with birthday surprise

Consistently good! We love the ambience and impeccable service we always receive when we dine at La Contea. Alex took wonderful care of us and made sure my birthday dinner was excellent.

We had a wonderful experience, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had our drinks firsts, my husband insists on enjoying his drink before placing his food order, the server (I wish I could remember her name) was perfect. No rushing and came to check on us in perfectly timed intervals. We were there 3 hours and never felt rushed once. Food was superb, I highly recommend La Contea to all my friends and family and will definitely go back soon. A personal issue ... we were seated next to the piano bar and my husband has problems hearing when there is loud background noise. Piano was great, but too loud for my husband. We know now to request a table away from the piano bar. I'm sure if we had asked to move they would have accommodated our request. This is a personal issue and nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant.

We had a wonderful evening with Shannon our waitress. She was so fun and kept us laughing and happy with our drinks! Everything we had to eat was delicious, from the calamari and cheese bread, lobster La contrea, tour of italy, and filet. We have been coming here for years and have always have a great experience. I have to give props to the entertainment, great singer that made the ambiance a lot of fun.

Went a few months ago and was perfect. Last night not as good food quality. Appetizers were very good. Dinner 3/4 good. Cookie dessert was not good. Wine selection excellent. Maybe just an off night.

Sara was a very attentive waitress as was the manager. Our meal was good and prices were acceptable for value. Only suggestion is the restaurant is a bit dark.

Great neighborhood Italian restaurant! Outstanding food, friendly and efficient wait staff. Even a singer who was truly terrific! Great value and variety of foods, for those who may not like typical Italian food. Wonderful classic Italian dishes, too. Definitely will go back!

The food is always great. On Saturday nights when they have live music it’s lively and fun atmosphere. Sunday evenings it’s usually more subdued and quiet.

The bruschetta and Arancini were great. The red sauce on the Arancini was perfect. The salads were fresh and crisp. Pan seared grouper was a little overcooked, but the sauce was phenomenally good. the osso buco was huge and perfectly cooked. Great sauce. The lobster contea was good , but the seafood was a little overcooked. The pink sauce was great. All the sauces were very, very good. I wanted more sauce on all the dishes. Will be back.

This was my first time dining here and I brought my parents for Mother's Day. It was a hit! We really enjoyed every dish and found that it was a great value considering how delicious the food was and how nice the atmosphere of the restaurant was. I will definitely go back again!

We walked in and the woman at the front desk looked annoyed we were there. No greeting like I usually receive from front desk staff at restaurants. She then handed us over to a woman who walked us to our table, who was equally rude and cold. Very unprofessional and off putting. Our waiter was kind, but service was lackluster. The decor is dated and feels like an old folks home. Overall the ambiance was one star, the wine glasses were way too heavy and thick, and table decor was very cheap. We wont be returning. The management needs to to a revamp on this place, as it was a very underwhelming experience. Staff was very uninspired. Do not recommend.

The ambience was split; on the one hand you have a singer doing excellent classic 50's and 60's Italian songs (Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra) but then the restaurant didn't look or feel Italian. Maybe because it is in a strip mall; it looked more stark modern but had no Italian feel. For some that might be perfect; my experience is that really great Italian restaurants have that Italian look and feel. The drinks were excellent; Blackberry Whiskey and Strawberry Prosecco. The appetizer was a lobster dip with corn chips. The dip itself was delicious; the corn chips were round and likely store-bought. Corn chips at an Italian restaurant just doesn't make sense; it didn't enhance the flavor of the lobster dip; in my opinion the chips overwhelmed any lobster flavor in the dip. Toasted pita chips or toasted Italian bread slices would come off as more authentic. The Sensation salads were good but not exceptional in any way. The entrees were great. The Seafood Fra Diavolo was spicy and full of juicy grilled chicken, shrimp and clams (with shells) on thin noodles. The Lobster La Contea had lots of lobster claw meat and large ravioli in a delicious red sauce. Overall I enjoyed the food and experience and will continue to patronize La Contea.

Those welcoming at the door appeared to be disgruntled; did not feel like the AC was on until we left. Our waitress was very nice and attentive; the management came by and it’s our fault, we did not express our dissatisfaction. The wine was very good! The fried cheese appetizer was good. The food was very bland. We wanted to be pleased, just completely didn’t happen. We will not return.
