‘A small cottage in the middle of nowhere’
Kutir’s story is taken from a time when innovation with ingredients was paramount. Chefs were expected to craft unique dishes on a daily basis to keep the cottage’s guests happy.
Step into Kutir and we will transport you to a time of magnificent wildlife, abundant forestry and deep human connection. A world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan have led some of this country’s most decorated establishments – earning a Michelin star in the process.
Kutir is their first solo project. It takes inspiration from the stories of India’s wildlife and countryside, drawing influence from their early careers working in luxury properties nestled away in India’s forestry.
Kutir promises a place of escapism and discovery – and everyone is welcome to come and explore it.

This was our second time having dinner at Kutir, the food is sensational, complemented by impeccable service. The staff were attentive yet remained in the background and did not interfere at all, which, in my opinion, is quite an art and a testimony to their training and professionalism. We were a party of eight, and we ordered a variety of starters, mains, and side dishes. Every dish had its own flavour, character, and unique presentation. We can't wait to go back there again. P.S. The wine menu is equally well selected and only made our experience that much better. Well done Kutir staff 10/10

The prawns appetiser used to be me and my family’s fav where we used to order two portions of that. That’s how good it was. This recent visit disappointed me cuz it turns into some thick battered crunch outside and very dry prawn inside. Used to be thin battered and juicy inside. Otherwise all perfect.

The paneer tikka was spectacular - the best paneer dish I’ve ever had. The biryani was equally as excellent! And the service was spot-on. Excellent meal, service, ambiance. I can’t wait to return.

Hands down extraordinary in food, service, and ambiance. Dress up and save this for a special occasion. Kutir delivers an above and beyond experience worth savoring. Highly recommend the seafood tasting menu.

This time after many visits we found the lamb Shank to be tough. Otherwise food was wonderful.

Meaning to visit for a while so took the opportunity to go with my overseas visitors. Good initial impression. Nice decor. However the seating for 4 was very tight and uncomfortable, and the tiny table made it impossible to fit the variety of food on the table without knocking elbows or glasses. Food was well presented but everything was over spiced. Soft shell crab was drowned in spice and could have been anything else. Main courses were very ‘samey’. Chicken tikka masala was unimpressive. Lamb shank was flavourful and well cooked. Sag makai was nice. Desserts were unimpressive. Overall very underwhelming. Many better Indian places in London.
