KUMOYA, is a Japanese Kitchen and Sushi Restaurant, the passion project of renowned sushi chef Corey Baker in collaboration with Max Mackissock, located in the heart of LoHi. We specialize in traditional sushi and innovative izakaya-style dishes with a modern Japanese twist. Our kappo-style dining concept allows guests to curate their own culinary adventure. Chefs Corey Baker and Max Mackissock draw inspiration from Kaiseki cuisine, celebrating the seasons and micro-seasons inherent in sushi and Japanese cooking, resulting in a dynamic, ever-evolving menu.

We ordered the Kumoya Omakase and it was fantastic!! Wait staff was very attentive and helpful with fantastic suggestions and orders. This is one of the best, if not the best, Japanese/sushi restaurants in Denver. 10/10 would recommend and return.

Great food. Great service. The GM came around and chatted with us in Japanese which was nice. Definitely recommends checking out at least once.

High quality sushi for sure. Didn’t realize there is an automatic 20% service fee and they charge $1 for wasabi! So definitely more expensive than I planned.

Absolutely incredible dining experience. We tried the multi-course Kaiseki meal and every single thing was delicious. The dessert called "Corn" is unlike anything we've ever had and was soooo good. The service is wonderful, the ambiance beautiful. A truly memorable evening. We will be returning for sure.

Don’t expect 100% Japanese, but it’s a nice twist. Food was enjoyable, service was great. The service charge makes sure everyone gets paid fairly without guilting you for a tip. And yes, some of the dishes are Grammable!

This was my first visit to Kumoya, and as a fan of the restaurant group, I was excited to try it. I made an online reservation for 5 PM, and when I arrived, I was seated across from the sushi bar. The restaurant was quite quiet and not very busy, which made it easy to hear the chatter from the bar—something a solo diner might find a bit distracting. I politely asked to be moved, and the manager came over, apologized, and took care of it. Overall, I appreciated the attentive service.
