Kobe An - LoHi
Our drinks came about 45 min after we sat down and after food had already arrived. Waitress apologized but it wasnt that busy so not sure what the deal was with that. Food was decent- although we didn’t get everything we ordered. The chef asked not to serve one of the sushi dishes we ordered because he wasn’t happy with the quality of the fish. I appreciated that but wouldve preferred to know that before ordering and waiting a long time.
Overall the food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. We enjoyed the food as my partner was a fit time “Shabu Shabu” eater and we would definitely come back again.
Just wanted to acknowledge our server Liz. She was super friendly and helpful. She very much added to our first experience at Kobe An.
Service was very slow- there was only 1 server, so I understand, but there was no type of apology or explanation as to what took so long. Food was good but a bit overpriced in my opinion
Everything was great, aside from the service. Drinks took a long time, and the appetizer came out with the food and my boyfriend ordered a beer that never came. I’ve been there several times before and had no problems. The server must have just been new. Overall, we had a great time!
The food was so good, it's unfortunate that the service makes me not want to return. One server in the entire restaurant and it took upwards of 20 minutes just to get drink orders, including a soda! Server forgot to bring us utensils and we couldn't get her attention for the majority of the meal so we just used our hands and whatever we could to eat! I think this tops the charts as the worst service I've had in many years at a resturant. We actually watched two couples come in, sit, and then walk out after waiting about 20 minutes and no one coming to even greet them.
Delicious food and great service
The heart attack roll is a must! Just a note that the level of spicy for the jalapeños can vary a lot. Overall, great sushi and drinks!!!
Food and atmosphere was awesome. Our server was not very attentive and we had to wait for them to refill our drinks or bring us new plates. Is service was better it would have been perfect.
Very nice place ( we loved the patio).
The service was excellent and very friendly.
No available parking. Soda machine not working and never offered alternative drink's. Very little food for value. Very beautiful place to dine though.
Good food, cool back patio! Would come back again
great food in a nice atmosphere. We ordered sushi and had the shaga shaga, and it was well worth it all
Shabu Shabu was very yummy, PLENTY of food and the service was great!
Great food and service. Excited to come back and try Shabu Shabu
This place offers something special. The atmosphere and the offerings make it an experience to be remembered. Take a step out of your comfort zone and give them a shot. It’ll be worth it
Amazing, fresh food. Unique sushi rolls that blew our taste buds away. We can’t wait to go back and we will be trying out the Shabu Shabu but I promise we will have to have some sushi as well. The Salmon Crunch Roll changes our lives!
Awesome restaurant. Excellent service and food. Our waitress, Daisy, was fantastic. Will be back.
Wonderful dining experience! I love the dynamite shrimp and the Las Vegas roll!
The sashimi and Shabu Shabu were excellent. It was our first time with shabu shabu and they were very helpful. Great neighborhood vibe ❤
We have a great birthday group of 6 on the patio. They did a great job physically distancing the tables and the music was a little loud, but not conversation as there weren't as many tables as normal.
The service was non-existent, which was odd because the restaurant was 1/3 full and they had more wait-staff than patrons. Food was bland.
I was very disappointed with the service and lack of communication at Kobe An- LoHi. We had a reservation for a Friday night and probably won't return even though the food was overall pretty good. It took about 40 minutes after ordering to get 2 bottles of sake and 3 draft beers. Other tables around us were getting beverages quickly and our table of 4 seemed to have been forgotten. Our food took forever and it wasn't until we got up from our table to ask the bartender that we found out a Japanese/sushi restaurant "ran out of rice". The lack of communication from our server was unacceptable given the restaurant is only seating partial capacity...
The scallops that we ordered first arrived last and were inedible, they were minced pieces that tasted freezer burnt and weren't comped so we ended up paying for them. I'm saddened that we had such a bad experience because prior to COVID-19 I had heard great things about Kobe-An LoHi. We are understanding people that this is a new time we live in and tipped our server 20% but I don't think we will be returning.
Excellent sushi. Very quick because of COVID, but it was an excellent experience
Super fun experience with a group
Great food - very different experience from typical sushi bar!
One thing to mention. They did charge us a $9 covid fee on the bill. We weren’t told this was something we were being charged for, and I wasn’t sure what that really meant? I haven’t come across this from any other restaurant I’ve been to as places have started opening again. Just something to note!
One of the best happy hour menus in town. The bronco roll is my favorite but also really enjoyed the salmon crunch roll. Kobe an is a nice little neighborhood gem.
Maybe we did it wrong, but we found it very expensive and bland. Our server was fantastic, though. He explained everything the best he could outside of the questions we asked. We ordered the miso broth and 3 proteins. Maybe we mixed in the wrong order... but it wasn't that good. Low sodium soy didn't help considering other "sauce" was ponzu.
So delicious! Sushi and shabu shabu are all amazing. They are also able to do a lot of things (including miso shabu shabu!) gluten free which is fantastic.
One of my favorite restaurants in Denver. The food, service and atmosphere is always excellent. I highly recommend..!!!
DENVER Restaurant week, brought the family with two little ones, we were let in early and the service and food was amazing
Thank you for the great time
We love that this little gem is in our neighborhood! It the perfect date night spot and the food is always outstanding!!
Delicious, super fresh, artistic approach to Japanese fare.
We ordered a verity of sushi and the dynamite shrimp appetizer. It was all delicious. Definitely want to go back to try the 2 person bowls on the menu.
Just returned from Japan and had to share the shabu shabu experience with our loved ones. The shabu shabu was delicious. The gyoza at Kobe An are unique and soooo good. Will definitely return just to have those again and the shabu shabu to remind us of our trip. Nice sake list too.
So, so impressed with the whole experience. Our server was friendly and helpful, too. The food tasted fresh, and I loved the decor. Great restaurant! I recommended shabby shabby here to several people while we were sitting there.
Tonight was a bit quieter, probably because it was new year's day and we were one if two tables seated, but service was good tonight! Daisy checked on us multiple times over the course of our meal and brought us everything we needed. Definitely will return to have some more delicious Japanese hot pot.
Fun to order hot pots for the table. very small restaurant but perfect for a date or group of friends. fresh fish everything we had was amazing!
Never disappoints....One of the best in Denver, no doubt...!!!
