Kobe An - LoHi
Enjoyed like fondue. Cook your meat and vegetables in a katsubushi (fish broth) with kombu (seaweed). Served with gomadare (sesame sauce) and ponzu (citrus soy) for dipping
A sweet and savory "one pot simmer dish" prepared Kanto style. House made sukiyaki is premixed into the pot. Served with a fresh raw pasteurized egg* for dipping meat
SRF Ground american wagyu, shoyu seasoned ramen buns, shoyu glaze, chirashi negi, kewpie mayo, baby arugula
We live a few blocks away and have ordered take out, but this was our first time dining in. We will definitely be back.
Super nice staff, many rolls and food options to choose from. There was hot pot and sushi and everything looked and tasted great!
Everything was perfect. The service staff was very comfortable and knowledgeable. They were wonderful with my small child. The sashimi was fresh and everything was absolutely delicious. Thank me of my favorite places.
When we first walked in it took 5-10 minutes just for someone to greet us and ask if we’ve been helped. Our reservation was at 8 and we didn’t eat until 9:30 cause the food took a long time to be served. The food quality was not bad but the lack of service ruined the experienced. Was also very over priced as i’ve eaten as similar restaurants and paid half of what i paid at kobe an.
Group of 7 girls on a bachelorette trip. Delicious sushi rolls & shabu shabu. One of us is gluten intolerant and they were very knowledgeable of the menu and willing to accommodate her (even swapped imitation krab for real crab in one of the sushi rolls!). Great vegetarian options as well (highly recommend the veggie roll). One roll of sushi and one order of protein is the perfect portion per person.
Such a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is quaint. Love this place!
Great service and food. Food and drink offerings are consistently high quality.
Waited an extra 10 minutes, but overall everything was really good! I highly recommend their chicken appetizer as it is very tender. They offer a wide variety of draft beer and overall the service was really good!
We sat outside in their outdoor enclosure. It was a little chilly, but they had heaters. Our server, Tre was awesome. He was very attentive. We ordered their bottomless sukiyaki.. its sooooo much food, but it was soooo freaking good, so good. And as always I get their Ramen burger. I forgot to order a quail egg, so it wasn't as perfect as the other times I've had it, but still sooo good. They have good sushi too!! Would definitely go back!
I didn't have a chance to take a picture of the hot pot because it was too good to not eat right away!
The server was awesome, timing was great! Best hotpot I've had in denver so far.
Shabu shabu was so fun. Great for groups! We enjoyed a selection of sushi and the entire table ordered wagyu shabu shabu.
Wonderful staff, great food and awesome music
Great! Thank you!
I am too particular about my sushi. This was a good restaurant and I felt like the sushi was average.
Great service. Staff took their time with recommendations. Greenhouse was cozy and warm. Food was plentiful and exceeded our expectations.
Food was great (highly recommend the Diablo roll, and the shabu shabu is very fun), but they really need to have more staff working the kitchens, bar, and tables. Took 45 minutes to get our first course and about another 35 after that to get the shabu shabu. Our waitress was nice, but it seemed like she had too many tables and was hardly around.
For the shabu shabu, the sukiyaki broth was very strong (very sweet and too salty at the same time). Our entire group wasn’t a huge fan of this broth. The miso is delicious though! Didn’t do the all you can eat, don’t need to (for a group of 4). One meat order per person is plenty and there are tons of veggies and noodles that come with it too (recommend the sirloin and shrimp). Will definitely be back for more shabu shabu and hope by then they will have fixed their staffing problems :)
Wonderful place! The service is excellent and they make you feel safe during these Covid times. Sushi was excellent quality.
Everything tasted great! We all loved it. Decent price too and shabu shabu was a fun dinner experience for a group of people.
Usually diners have the opportunity to add ingredients to their shabu broth at-will. We got one pot, with all the veggies already stuffed in the bowl. I had to ask for more broth because there wasn’t enough room to swish. I brought two people who’ve never been there thinking it was going to be a similar experience to my own before covid, food-wise. It was disappointing. I love to tell people this is my fave date spot in denver due to ambiance and food. I understand ambiance is lost in a greenhouse outside, but the food did not have to suffer. It was sloppy looking and sub-par.
Service was great.
Sushi was good.
The broth was very concentrated and made me question whether it was “on” or not.
It was great. The staff was always friendly and quick. Great place. Will definitely go again.
Always great. Constantly terrific food and service.
Awesome food with traditional Japanese food and experience. Love eating in the greenhouses outside and enjoying the ambiance. Great service and awesome sushi. Love coming here!
Everything about Kobe An is fantastic! The outdoor seating was great: very warm, we didn't even need our jackets, and you're in those little huts that look like clear greenhouses so you are not close to other people. The sashimi was beautiful and fresh, the sushi rolls were perfect, and I would go back solely for the ramen slider appetizer, which I'm still thinking about 3 days later. If you go there, you need one of these. They season it perfectly and the ramen "bun" is the perfect complement to the kobe beef.
Great options. All you can eat. Fun, good service, great food.
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. ITS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS IN DENVER.
Excellent food/ atmosphere in the little igloos! Will definitely come back
Kobe An is consistently great. The Shabu Shabu is fantastic, broth is spot on, veggies are fresh and plentiful and the meats are plentiful. The huts outside on the patio were very warm and welcoming. With these crazy times I'm always amazed how creative business have become and Kobe An is reacting wonderfully, we'll continue to come back again and again.
We had so much fun! Amazing drinks, food, and atmosphere. The outdoor seating in the greenhouses are so cute and our waitress was wonderful!
The little greens houses are such a good idea to keep the restaurant open and patrons happy. Make sure you go with folks you know are Covid free since you are in an enclosed space with them. Our server Liz was wonderful but all the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Only gripe would be the corner where chairs were thrown haphazardly on the tables. Little bit of an eye sore. Food is amazing and high quality (we got shabu shabu) and great value. You get a ton of food included!
Excelente lugar con un excelente servicio!
Service was very slow but I am willing to chalk one up to being short staffed for the lockdown.
We love Kobe An so much! Their greenhouse setup on the patio is so much fun, and the food has never ceased to impress us here. Highly reccomended.
The little outdoor greenhouses were perfect; giving you the feeling of being out, but also socially distancing. We had a great evening!
Kobe An was a fantastic place to eat, even with these COVID times, they have set up the little huts to keep you and your party warm. We went while it was snowing and were perfectly comfortable. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I highly suggest the Shabu Shabu - it was fantastic meal and also a fun activity. This was perfect for a date night or celebratory dinner, and for all the food that we ended up ordering, it was not as expensive as we thought it would be! Definitely will be going back this winter.
So happy to see they’ve adjusted with outdoor dining. I took a friend there for his birthday and he loved the experience..!! Marco has created a fabulous restaurant and I highly recommend it...!!!
It was a great experience!
The whole experience was wonderful! Will definitely be back.
We’ve been going to Kobe An for almost four years and it’s become one of our favorite nights out. The food and service are always great.
Great food - love cooking Sukiyaki at our table. The okonomiyaki was also tasty. Good service and happy it was a busy night for them with all the restrictions.
