It was my first time at Koast and I can't imagine trying to again. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't specially good either. The waiter screwed up my order and the place was too loud. Three strikes-- worse so when you consider the price

The first two courses--tuna tartare and Caesar salad were excellent. My main course, pasta with sea urchin, was very mediocre. I would try the restaurant again, but I thought it was very overpriced.

Fantastic dinner. The food was outstanding, start to finish. It was a bit loud and I miss being able to have a cocktail but the beer, wine, sake selection provides plenty of options.

Food was delicious! Creative appetizers. Our waiter Christopher remembered us from my only other visit to LA in March. He was knowledgable and attentive. The preparation of the swordfish was amazing! Kudos to the hostess for moving us to a side table when one became available.

The restaurant was fine, with a couple "misses" in the cocktails and food department but for the most part enjoyable. The decor is a little underwhelming. Service was very good. Doesn't feel like a must-repeat restaurant though. With prices as they are these days, places must really stand out to make them return-worthy.

Excellent service, and very thoughtful cooking at this seafood-focused restaurant! We really enjoyed all of our dishes, but the crispy scallop cake was a standout. All of the fish we ate had been dry aged, and it made a difference. Very worth a visit!
