About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Great for outdoor dining
  • Great for creative cocktails
Discover the rich flavors of Hawai‘i’s sugarcane plantation past at Kō, where every dish tells a story. Named after the Hawaiian word for sugarcane, Kō is inspired by a time when immigrants from around the world brought their culinary traditions to the islands.

Blending heritage recipes with local ingredients, this fusion gave rise to what we now know as modern Hawaiian cuisine.

In 2012, acclaimed Chef Tylun Pang brought this vision to life, crafting a vibrant menu rooted in generations of island family recipes — from Hawaiian to Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, and Japanese influences. Come taste the soulful journey that defines Kō.

Morgan was again our waitress and she made our third visit to the Sunday Ko buffet this month very special. We are sorry that there was a decision to close for renovations as the setting was already very nice.

Food was great. The server was excellent our only gripe was the food portions were very small for what you pay for.

Another fabulous dinner at Ko. Service was top notch and food excellent. Lobster tempura is one of our favorites and we weren't disappointed. Looking forward to another visit to Ko when we visit Maui again.

Overall the food was ok/good. I would recommend not going towards the end of brunch as some things were limited or would run out and not be replaced as quickly. One of the guests in our party was vegan and there really wasn't that much to eat other than the salad, plain rice, fruit, seaweed salad, poi, pickled veggies and veggie sushi rolls. Not everything was labeled at the bar. For those eating all food groups and non-picky eaters, you'll enjoy the brunch much more, but I would highly avoid it for anyone with special dietary needs because you wont get the full value of a decent meal for the price of the brunch.

Just amazing cocktails and food. The lobster tempura is a must try dish and it is always fun searing your own tuna on a hot stone! Would 100% recommend

The tables around us were very noisy - even the wait staff had trouble hearing us when they were asking questions and taking our order.
