Kizaki is Chef Toshi Kizaki’s long-awaited solo omakase restaurant, representing the pinnacle of his celebrated career and decades of influence in Denver’s culinary scene. After more than 40 years of success with Sushi Den, Chef Toshi returns to his roots with deep reverence for Edomae-style sushi—a 200-year-old Tokyo tradition that highlights the true character of each ingredient through precise Japanese techniques. Kizaki brings Denver its first authentic Edomae omakase, offering around 20 courses featuring raw, cured, seared, cooked, and dry-aged preparations. Guests can enjoy a full bar along with carefully selected sake, wine, or combined pairings to complement the experience. Omakase at the counter or table is $225 before tax. Drinks, additional sushi, and gratuity are not included. Reservation times are at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Once all guests have arrived, we will transition to Kizaki, where the Omakase experience begins approximately 15 to 20 minutes after the scheduled time.

Kizaki’s omakase menu features approximately 20 courses, each highlighting a variety of Edomae techniques—from raw and cured to seared and dry-aged preparations. Every course presents a distinct culinary approach, showcasing Chef Kizaki’s expertise and guiding guests through a dynamic journey of textures and flavors. Thoughtfully paced, the experience also incorporates Kaiseki-style cooked dishes at key moments to cleanse and refresh the palate. The menu concludes with a dessert and tea course. Guests are invited to enjoy this carefully curated experience at 5:00 PM or 8:00 PM either at the counter or at their table. To complement the meal, we offer a comprehensive beverage program that includes premium sake, wine, craft cocktails, Japanese whiskies, non-alcoholic beverages, and zero-proof cocktails. A full bar is available, along with curated sake, wine, and sake & wine pairings designed to enhance each stage of the menu.

We loved it, again! And so did our son. A special birthday treat! Such creativity, attention to detail, and meticulous preparation of 20 delicious fish. We also ordered the aburi toro Kama as an extra bite and it was amazing! This is Michelin star worthy.

The service was outstanding. The waitstaff was incredibly caring and knowledgeable about each unique dish. They made us feel like we were the most important people in the restaurant. I highly recommend Kazaki, especially if you really enjoy sushi and sashimi and want to feel like you’ve been transported to Japan for the evening! First class all the war around.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had anywhere. Everything about the experience exceeded my expectations - the food, the service, the setting. Highly recommend!

We were nearly accosted for not being charged by our server for a $30 whiskey as we approached the exit. Was that our fault and do they need the $30 on top of the $750 bill so bad they track you down on your way out the door?

Thank you for your feedback. While you mentioned your stargazing walk with your husband for his birthday and he was in the restroom, we reviewed the check and initially thought we may have charged for a water by mistake. Upon closer review, we realized a whiskey he ordered and consumed was not included. When he returned, we politely asked if we could add it, and he agreed. You expressed concern, so we chose not to charge it. We treat our guests with respect and professionalism and expect the same in return.

Incredible multi course Omikase experience with amazing fresh seafood from throughout the world prepared and presented beautifully. The space is gorgeous, sushi bar and semi-private rooms with tables. Expensive but worth it for a unique and special experience

Kizaki set a new bar for sushi in Denver and beyond. Chef Toshi and his team transport you to a small sushi bar in Japan for a true omakase experience. The experience was nothing short of magical and I would be shocked if he doesn't get his star here soon.
