   Really good food. Service was a bit pushy and not particularly warm. Regardless, would visit again.

   We visited Japan last year, and the food at Kiri is every bit as good as the real thing. The description of the restaurant as an Izakaya only really relates to the ambiance and decor, rather than the menu, although that didn’t matter, as the food was absolutely incredible. We ordered the tasting menu with sake pairing, which was fantastic value at £60 per head. We left feeling satisfyingly full and delighted with this amazing find. Already planning to return!

   Everything is perfect, from the miso aubergine to the barley tea to the comfy sofa chairs. My friend, who has very high standards when it comes to Japanese food, loved the food too. The light mochi ice cream and chocolate mousse finished the meal nicely. Thanks for looking after us.

   It was a last minute get together with friends who were visiting London. I always wanted to try Kiri but never had a chance and I was impressed by the food and the atmosphere. It was a nice cosy evening with lovely staff.

   There are many good Japanese restaurants in London (Chisou, Sakagura, Roka, Murakami, Sosharu, etc) - I don't consider Kiri one of them. Kiri's menu items are priced similar to other restaurants but the standard is much lower. The quality of sushi at Kiri was poorer (sinewy and chewy), service was poor even though the restaurant wasn't busy on our visit. Our fairly light, quick meal for two (with a cocktail each and a glass of sochu each) came to £140.00. This seemed very over-priced for the food and poor dining experience we had. I wouldn't recommend Kiri and I won't be returning.

    I love Kiri they serve authentic dish (I am Japanese) and great food and still staffs are very trained and modest - often I’ve seen good Japanese restaurants start showing bossy or arrogant behavior- Kiri is far away from that, nice and at home service- I’ll be back whenever I can Soba food is great too!! Sake Kiri carries great too!!
