I was not allowed into the restaurant with my 15-year-old son because of a dress policy. We drove 45 minutes to get to the restaurant and return the way out the door. Very unfortunate

Amazing!!! The atmosphere was so nice waiters where amazing but let’s talk about the star of the show !!! The sushi was fucken phenomenal, it was fresh vibrant and tasty !!! Sooooo good every thing we got was just tasty and delicious and the drinks where is unique and good !!!! Five out five !!!

The WORST! Reservations at 8:45 , seated at 9:30 , and that was because I spoke to the manager. If I waited for the hostess, it probably would’ve been even longer. Extremely unorganized staff. Hostess extremely rude. She would tell us 10 more minutes from the minute we walked in. She would tell us we are next to be seated , and when the next customer came and asked , she would say the same thing. Crowd is much different from when I used to come a couple years back. Horrible experience !

Amazing restaurant in a great part of West Hollywood. Entire experience from start to finish went beyond my expectations. The hostess held our table even though part of our party was late. We grabbed drinks at the bar and the bartender, David, was super chill to chat with and made a mean cocktail. Once we got seated, the outdoor area was energetic playing great music. It was also a slightly colder evening but you felt really warm because of all of their outdoor heaters. Our server provided some great sake and drink recommendations, the food was phenomenal, and the restaurant put in the extra effort to hand out congratulations cards and provide a complimentary dessert with a sparkler to celebrate my sisters graduation from medical school. 10/10 rating and would 100% recommend to anyone…especially for any celebrations!

It was a nice dinner. The place should be rated $$$, but definitely not $$ like advertised…we spent $400 for a family of 4 without drinks.

The restaurant itself is outstanding. Unfortunately, there was a belligerent birthday boy with about 15+ guests at his table all yelling, standing up, and just killing the vibe. We expect the Sunset Strip vibe in terms of traffic noise, which add to this experience, but when you’re on date night and spending $350 on a meal for 2… I do expect employees to ask the party to be respectful of others. If they want to act and do as they please, they can rent the space.

The Chef’s premium meal (which is 120$/person) was a joke. The waitress said it’s supposed to be more than enough if you’re really hungry. And let’s just say that It was not worth it at all. Overall really cool place but the food is overpriced and doesn’t taste well. There are way better options out there in the area and for that price.

Worst sushi experience in LA. I came here with my girlfriends, everything that we’ve ordered wasn’t tasty. Popcorn shrimps was over cooked, fish on the sushi wasn’t fresh. Also, the device wasn’t great. In the end the waiter was pushing us to pay the check as we didn’t want to order anything else and he was saying table was orders only for 90 minute. Worst service and food ever.

We booked katana for a special occasion. It is located right in the middle of everything on Sunset Boulevard and it’s kind of nice because it’s on the second floor so you’re sort of above everything and have a nice view. The location is great. The food is also delicious but quite small And pricey. It’s a happening place so it is pretty loud inside. There is lots of outdoor patio seating and I think that would be the preference for most people except for the night that we were there. It was cold and windy so we sat inside. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Five people for dinner was over $500. A bit too much for tiny individual skewers of various proteins and sushi but I guess you’re paying for the setting too.

No urgency to seat reservations. Sushi was good. Drinks were good. Service was pleasant. Rice chicken was super dry - felt like we would have choked on it if we didn’t mix it with rock shrimp sauce (which was bangin’). Lobster wagyu skewer was small and overrated for price.
