Kapa Hale will have a modern influence on Hawai'i Regional Cuisine. We will promote local products and combine them with familiar ethnic influences to showcase a cuisine that can only be found in today's Hawai'i. Kapa Hale will be Hawai'i’s new neighborhood eatery located in the Waialae-Kahala District.
Inspired by Hawaiian, American, European & Asian flavors, we will incorporate the stories of local farmers and the fresh produce from our islands.
Kapa Hale will have a chef driven concept, where Chef Keaka Lee and his team will design the menu on flavor, creativity, and execution.

Lunch. Good attentive service. Tried the signature burger. In general, pretty good. Could have easily been very good if it wasn’t over cooked. I had ordered medium but got well done. In addition the burger was accompanied by a very small side of kettle style chips. Would be nice to have an option for fries or green salad on the side.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and let me tell you did they ever exceed expectations. Few if any restaurants can match their plating, dish quality AND dedication to sourcing local. I highly recommend Kapa Hale to anyone and everyone who wants a fine dining meal that also believes in supporting high quality locally sourced ingredients from Hawaii farmers and ranchers without breaking the bank. Thoroughly impressed and will definitely be lifelong supporters of Kapa Hale.
Fresh ingredients that taste so good, that makes you want to order double, which of course it happened!! Excels in every aspect a restaurant you can imagine tbh…
Our group of 6 were looking forward to trying Kapa Hale for the first time. Unfortunately our experience was not up to the reviews and hype. First of all the restaurant was not ready for our 6:30 reservation. After many notifications that our table was getting ready, we were finally seated after 7:00.
The wait staff was very professional and explained the menu and took our orders for drinks, appetizers and main dishes. Our appetizers came out in good time but then the delay began. It seemed that the kitchen was either behind or disorganized. Our entrees came out around 20 minutes later, but in piecemeal fashion. Each of us were served our entrees one at a time and over the course of 15 minutes. So the last person sat waiting 15 minutes for her dish while the rest of us waited with food getting cold or tried to eat politely slow.
I would say that the dishes were all pretty good with exception to the grilled tako/octopus which was slightly overcooked/charred. Our waiter did comp a naan bread order but unfortunately the late start, slow entree delivery and/or disorganized kitchen left a "bad taste" in our dinner experience.
Food was wonderful— bright, fresh and lots of flavor. I love restaurants that have a lot of vegetable dishes on the menu and execute them well — this surpassed our expectations and the steak did too. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, particularly with kids. Highly recommend to all.
Not what I expected; took friends there to celebrate the birth of their grandson.
Earl grey water needs more Earl grey flavor
Waffle was too thick
Came here before and liked it ; wanted to share the good food with friends.
Chef could’ve walked around to visit the tables. It was not that busy. I think that would help yo keep people coming.
The food was very good but the wait wasn’t we waited over an hour for our food. We saw people who came after us order, eat and pay before we got our food. They did take some items off the bill but it still was a long wait.
We’re always looking for new places to have breakfast/brunch. I wish Kapa Hale would also serve breakfast/brunch during the week.
Despite being hyped the food was a hit and miss. There were so many small nats flying around, it was disturbing. The service was very slow. Not sure I would recommend for dinner. I don’t think I’ll go there again.
Great to have a home-grown restaurant in Kahala with innovative recipes, attentive service, and comfortable seating. We were there for Saturday brunch with a 12-year-old, and she would have appreciated more kid-friendly menu choices; however, the fruit with yogurt and strawberry ume pancakes did hit the spot for her.
We like to try new places with friends and was not disappointed.
Food was delicious and our server was great. A little pricey, but menu is unlike anything else so totally worth it.
Thanks for a very special anniversary dinner. If coming from foodie cities on the mainland and you are planning a trip, definitely make a reservation here. Food, beverage, and service are all top notch without any pretension.
AmAzing food and service
Brunch was great! We would like to go back for dinner soon.
Great place for a superb dining experience
The best new dining experience I’ve had in awhile! The food is outstanding - fresh and unique flavors, great presentation, good portion sizes. Service was attentive and friendly. The only thing that would have made it more perfect was better outdoor seating. There is a nice view of Diamond Head, but you are right next to the parking lot. Indoor seating looked cute. Will definitely be back!
Solid meal, great service. This chef is one to keep an eye on…he’ll get better and better.
Service was excellent and food amazing as always.
Great food and service.
The toast under my ginger chicken was burnt so I refused it- the server replaced it without question and came to check if second one was alright and it was.
Hubby’s garlic ahi belly was tasty -
Disappointed that his birthday was not acknowledged even though I noted it on the reservation.
It was pretty busy @ 100 pm and the Noise level was ‘energetic’ mostly from the party next to us.
Chef Keaka and staff is always very friendly. The food is always delicious! Support local!
Celebrated my birthday with my mom and husband at my favorite restaurant!
Service was wonderful. A nice place to go for a casual atmosphere and decent food
Every single dish that we ordered was fantastic! But the Koji Aged Boeuf, was an amazing treat.
The food is AMAZING. Chef Keaka is a genius! The service was wonderful and the entire experience was great.
Excellent fusion of East meets West ! Everything was cooked to perfection, I’d definitely go back again
Uh-mazing. 10/10 would return. DELICIOUS flavor combinations, perfect portions for everyone at my table. The mushroom pasta and koji beouf made my eyes roll from satisfaction. Also surprised to find such delicious cornbread in Hawaii- perfect consistency and amazing flavor. Our server Mike was cool too- great service from all!
Super noisy. There was a young group of 20 yrs old and laughing-talking super loud. Could not hear what the servicer said and could not talk to my wife. Super loud. I wish we asked to change tables. Ruined the whole dinner
Never going back there. This was a nice Kahala restaurant and felt like a popular bar in Waikiki!!!
We had a great waiter taking care of us! Great customer service!
Refused to serve egg whites. Long wait for food. Great ambiance and nice drinks.
My new favorite place! The food was excellent; local, flavorful, and original. The service was excellent too. We had a sweet birthday celebration and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a candle was thoughtfully given. We also met the chef who personally to each table and asked how we enjoyed our evening. Wonderful!
Yummy cocktail and wine pairings elevated each plate of food. The asparagus soup is stunning!
On a scalp of zero to ten, I would say 6. Inside was noisy. If you sit outside, you contend with the smell of trash. The waiter was not a conversationalist, he should be bus boy instead, but the women who served were phenomenal. The pipikaula short ribs was very chewy but the Loco moco was great.
It was perfect!
A nice neighborhood place with good food.
The star dishes happen to be the veggies.
But the pasta is also tasty.
Hard working chef owner is very talented.
Vinny took care of us and gave great recommendations!
As always the food was outstanding from apps to dessert. Our go to for showing mainland guests.
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant with an energetic vibe. The food is creative, artistically presented and delicious. Do not miss the great selection of starters--Spanish octopus, eggplant tempura, naan with curry sauce. You can't go wrong on the food here. Our server was engaging and efficient. We will be back.
Nice neighborhood gem! Very comfortable and casual but the food is second to none.
